@lcbatesmuseum for the opening of 𝕃𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥, a group show situated amongst the L.C. Bates natural history collection ➡️ 14 Easler Rd, Hinckley, Maine
A big thank you to Winnie & Lucy of
@colbycollege @colby_art_department for inviting me to participate in this show. I’m excited to have my work on display in a natural history museum as I draw my inspiration from the natural world and come from a family of scientists who value the study and further understanding of nature.
From the show statement: From the shifting colors of sunrise and dusk to the glow of campfires, lighthouses, and illuminated windows, the exhibition considers both the physical and symbolic presence of light. Through painting, drawing, and other media, the artists capture fleeting conditions of illumination and atmosphere, inviting viewers to reflect on the role light plays in shaping landscape, time, and experience.
I love Winnie & Lucy’s selection, an illuminated, purple/blue grouping that feel perfect for Spring:
Night of Nights, 2025, oil on canvas, 34 x 34 inches, made
