New to Printmaking? Gelli printing is a fantastic way to spark your interest. Introduction to experimental and creative Gelliplate Printmaking with @jeanette_newell Gelliplate monoprinting is a fun, experimental and intriguing way to create unique, textural and colourful patterns and art. Use everyday items (e.g. string) and natural objects (e.g. leaves) to create textured prints. You will experiment with using stencils and layering your prints. You can choose to print on paper, fabric or both. The course will be experimental and fun, with help and advice given to enable you to get the most out of the day. Paper prints can be used for art and creative projects. Fabrics can be fixed and are then ready for your own sewing, art or embroidery. Basic materials, tools, ink and paper will be provided. booking now at #print #lowtech #printmaking #printworkshop #print #sustainableprinting #printmaker #printmakersofinstagram #printworkshop #learnsomethingnew! #bristolprint #stroud #workshop #stroudartists #stroudartcourses #goodonpaper #goodonpaperstroud #coolprints #gelliplate #gelliprinting #printonfabric

Places are available on this fascinating process using Coffee as a safe Aquatint alternative. Lift Off! with Etcher extraordinaire, @wrhodesart Liberate your etching and free yourself from hard ground lines. This course will take you through the exciting and liberating processes of coffee-lift aquatint and spit-bite. You will be shown a range of drawing tools and mark making techniques that will enable you to explore your own imagery whether it is figurative or abstract. During the weekend, we will aim to work across 2 different etching plates, providing you with a series of proof prints. There will be time for you to be able to develop your pieces, with full support, to achieve finished prints for you to take home. Supplementary copper will be available from the tutor (see notes below). Coffee-lift techniques unleash the creative artist in the etching room, allowing you to draw with the same freedom you would experience in a sketchbook. Suitable for all levels of ability. This course will provide each participant with 2 small pieces of copper to learn the techniques. Additional copper for developing the images will be available for purchase from the course tutor. #print #lowtech #printmaking #printworkshop #print #sustainableprinting #printmaker #printmakersofinstagram #printworkshop #learnsomethingnew! #bristolprint #stroud #workshop #stroudartists #stroudartcourses #goodonpaper #goodonpaperstroud #coolprints #aquatint #etching #letterpress #traditionalprint
