Angelfish about to step on stage for their second sold out show at @liquidroom_official in Edinburgh. Starting as a contractual sidestep so Shirley Manson @garbage could blossom with the legendary @goodbyemrmackenzie Angelfish itself became a well-regarded but short-lived band together, before @butchvigmusic found the singer he had been looking for … the band that became Garbage. Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, with Martin Metcalfe on guitar, Derek Kelly on drums and Fin Wilson on bass, morphed into Isa and the Filthy Tongues, and shortly thereafter @thefilthytongues . Angelfish got back together for two shows in their hometown, with all proceeds going to humanitarian aid charities for Palestinian children. Angelfish “only released one album, 1994’s Angelfish, produced by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads. It was critically acclaimed, they toured extensively in the US, where it charted in the college charts, and supported The Ramones in New York. They also played some dates in Europe but, apart from one Glasgow gig for charity in 2015, have never played in the UK.
