When did the concerted protection of children stop being a priority ? When did this horror inflicted upon the Palestinians become so normalized that these kind of statistics don’t even make the front page news? When did a ceasefire not require the actual laying down of arms by the oppressor ? Why can one ethnicity illicit such sympathy and support from Western governments and one cannot and is instead considered entirely disposable.
When did those who advocate for the protection of innocent civilians become the criminalized and those people who decorate their celebration cakes with a noose , positioned as heroes?
When did war lords , who have been accused of serious war crimes by international courts start getting invited onto our radio stations and tv shows to spew their zealous, supremist propaganda whilst peace loving and gentle artists like @misanharriman get smeared and hounded by a national newspaper ? What is happening here? It’s like living in the upside down.
It’s absolutely maddening. And distressing.
And downright INSANE.
I am not buying what they are selling.
I will keep my heart gentle.
And nothing they can say will ever convince me that what they are selling is something I ever want to buy into.
I reject their narrative.
And I always will.
