This month, we dug deep with the @transgenderdistrict to launch the Riot Fund, a multi-year emergency effort to raise $100K and protect the only legally recognized transgender district in the world. The launch culminated in the Riot Party, honoring the historic Comptonâs Cafeteria Riots and celebrating the strength of the trans community. đłď¸ââ§ď¸
The fund was created in response to shrinking resources and escalating attacks on trans rights. Every dollar raised sustains vital programs like entrepreneurship support, name and gender change clinics and wellness workshops that hundreds of people rely on.
