How lucky I am to get to say this: we’re going on a book tour. This Spring the world’s greatest homebody (hello) will in fact leave said home to talk about…the magic of home cooking. The recipes, yes, but really — the practice of making space and time when we believe we’re already all out of such precious resources. Returning to our kitchen tables in the face of widespread ROI culture is one of the more radical things we can choose to do right now.
Eating at Home is a rallying call: that when we’ve tried every way to make mealtimes more efficient, our best medicine may be to embrace cooking and eating as a practice. One that makes us more present, more honest, more human.
This Spring I’ll have the chance to share Eating at Home with you in the company of my favorite writers, chefs and fellow entrepreneurs. New! Meet Kyoto Hojicha, the toasted green tea that tastes like a box of chocolates. We have a limited seasonal batch of 400 or so now live on our website. Hojicha is very lightly caffeinated, so it’s been our favorite all-day drink since this one arrived in our home pantry. Not every business gets the opportunity to look back 10 years. In 2016, we were getting Golde ready for launch (who remembers @goldeturmeric ??), dropping off samples around Brooklyn, leaning on our friends and family to help make it happen with crafty photo shoots and hand packaging every pouch. In 2026, we’re sharing a whole new vision for Golde. It’s been our most rewarding journey. Thank you for being there with us.
