A huge THANK YOU to everyone who made it to our Big Reveal Party! 🎉 It was incredible to finally show you our new Roastery space. But this isn’t just a Roastery / Coffee Bar – it’s a community hub where great coffee meets connection.
Whether you’re here to chill with friends, grab a bag of beans, or learn something new, our space is for you 🫵🏼.
We want to give a Massive shoutout to those who traveled from far and wide to join us. And a special thanks to the crew from @minorfigures for organising the latte art throwdown ⚡️🏆⚡️ – that was next level!

Empowering Women in Coffee.
The second phase of Project Ethiopia focuses on empowering women in the coffee industry.
Meet Negest Germachew her husband sadly died a few years ago, she has 7 children
As the first step of our project has been to purchase all the shade netting necessary for this farm.
Allowing the coffee to undergo a slower drying process is pivotal.
Our investment in enhancing quality will consequently raise the price Negest receives for her coffee.
It’s a mutually beneficial situation: we acquire better coffee, and she earns a better price for her coffee. This synergy creates a win-win scenario that improves both our coffee and her livelihood.

Ama means Mother in English
Here the children of women coffee pickers and sorters find a place of learning and joy.
Previously, these children would have been taken to work with their mothers and been around the farm all day with little chance of ever receiving an education.
As part of our commitment to this project
we’re going to provide each child with their first school uniform and a backpack.
More significantly, with the support of @ephtahcoffee we’ve committed to providing a school meal to ensure every child enjoys at least one nutritious meal daily,
We need more people in the world like Wubit and her incredible team
It was @luca.brews idea to bring the recorders, swipe to see his musical abilities 🎶 🪈 🎶

Our second heat of the English AeroPress Championship 2026 went down at @goldboxroastery , and it did not disappoint.

• Kat Maracle - With almost 5 years working across Newcastle's coffee scene, Kat is the manager at Lagom Speciality Coffee Bar, an award winning spot at the heart of Newcastle city centre. She’s passionate about looking after people, fun latte art and her collection of pink brewers at home (including the pink aeropress!)
• David Rickenback - Coffee Beverage Community Expert at Simonelli Group, Coffee Competitions Judge and Coach.
• Joe Meagher - Owner of Tiny Tiny (formerly Flat Caps), bringing years of coffee experience (and excellent taste!).
• Ric Allan - Owner and managing director of Coffee Latino, with deep roots in the UK coffee community.
