Just a small town in Southwest Colorado. . . Nothing to see, nothing to do. (On a personal note, quitting my engineering job and moving to Colorado was the best decision I ever made.) . . . #godurango #durango #durangoco #durangocolorado #visitdurango #visitdurangocolorado #colorado #visitcolorado #southwestcolorado #outdoors #trailrunning #outdooradventures #outdoorwomen #outdoorparadise #coloradooutdoors

SNOWDOWN 2026: Uniquely Colorado: Then 🤠 and Wow 🪩 I can’t believe this is my 5th SNOWDOWN and every time I think this must be one of the most unique & weirdest festivals out there. I admit my Mormon born Southern grown self was a little shocked during my first SNOWDOWN but now I love it. 🥰 P.S. Boot Scootin’ Bogeys might be the best mini golf team name ever 🤷🏻‍♀️ #godurango #durangocolorado

Grab your favorite to-go cup and festive sweater, it’s Noel Night on Friday; one of my favorite nights of the year in Durango! Lots of local artists will be set up along Main Ave. Businesses will be open late with specials and discounts, and some will be selling or handing out cocktails, beer, and wine🍷 It’s a festive celebration to get you in the holiday spirit and encourage you to shop small. And if you miss Friday, Ska will be having a holiday market on Saturday!

I remember the first time I drove to Telluride and I found the beauty incomprehensible. And I hadn’t even experienced it in the Fall 🍂 Photos 📸 taken 10/03/25 . . . #leafpeeping #sanjuanmountains #coloradofall #telluride

A completely random assortment of events for when you’re not out leaf peeping :) Thursday - 09/25 🎉 My friends started an overaland accessory company here in Durango; they’re throwing a party to celebrate their grand opening. You’re invited! 🎥 The Manhattan Short Film Festival returns to the @durangoarts I went to this 2 years ago and it made for a very interesting and unique experience. The application for 2026 SNOWDOWN events is now live at Snowdown.org! A few things to know: ❄️ Anyone can submit an event! Yes, YOU, your club, your business, etc. ❄️ All 2025 Event coordinators should have received an email from [email protected] asking to confirm your participation for 2026 and whether your events are the same or similar to your 2025 event(s). If you did not receive an email, email me at [email protected] ❄️ If the event 1) has a confirmed location in Durango 2) is not inherently dangerous and 3) is not already being hosted by someone else, it will most likely be approved. Questions? [email protected] So what are you waiting for? Get those creative chaotic juices flowing. Applications close October 31st! 👻 #godurango #snowdown #snowdowndurango

Who’s ready for Fall? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I love Fall so much that I mourn it before it even begins. The peak of Aspen Fall color comes and goes quickly, so I try to keep my schedule for late September to early October as free as possible. And there’s so much to see by car and on foot! Be sure to check out @visitdurango for add’l #leafpeeping ideas & the Leaf-O-Meter! . . . #godurango #durango #durangoco #durangocolorado #visitdurango #visitdurangocolorado #colorado #visitcolorado #southwestcolorado #outdoors #trailrunning #outdooradventures #outdoorwomen #outdoorparadise #coloradooutdoors

Okay, friends — it’s time we gave the La Platas their moment. You see them from town, you hike them on weekends, and at about 30 minutes from town, they’re the backdrop to so many Durango adventures. Today, @godurangoco and I are teaming up to show you why these peaks give us major ✨main character energy✨. #DurangoColorado #DurangoLife #SouthwestColorado #LaPlataMountains #DurangoDreaming #DurangoRealEstate #ColoradoRealEstate #MountainHomes #ColoradoDreamHome #MountainLife #MoveToColorado #ColoradoCalling

📍 Perins Peak Let me tell you about one of my favorite in-town trails. It’s in a wildlife area; it’s only open for biz 4 months out of the year, which makes this trail extra peaceful and less traveled. It also means you need to have a hunting or fishing license to hike. The easiest way to hike this trail is from a TH located in the RockRidge neighborhood which might seem a little strange but soon you’re gonna be enveloped in a forest and forget the you’re in the middle of Durango. About 1.5ish miles in, your destination will reveal itself. The next mile or so is kind’ve a slog. Don’t forget to look up and take in the views on the climb. And before you know it, at around 2.5 miles you’ll be at the summit. You’ll want to proceed past the “billboards” to get to the rock overhang that you can see from town. These are where the best views are! As always, check the @durangotrails website for more info on trail conditions and closures. Happy trails! . . . #godurango #durango #durangoco #durangocolorado #visitdurango #visitdurangocolorado #colorado #visitcolorado #southwestcolorado #outdoors #trailrunning #outdooradventures #outdoorwomen #outdoorparadise #coloradooutdoors
