When @alexrthompson text one day asking if I’d be interested in being on this record with this incredible artist @azulmzapata he was working with at the time who was on the hunt for a rap feature that could embody the deeply meaningful & vulnerable message behind the song.. I remember feeling seen for my music and approach without having to break it down while also being a a tad intimidated working with such a talent and big artist. Welcomed some ends I never thought would begin and promised to never abandon myself again. Living has its price. Not responding to it, an even higher one. I did everything I knew to avoid scenarios and circumstances that appeared anyway because I was afraid and needed them. To learn and overcome whatever I was afraid of. It’s a delight to share I feel activated, animated and willing on a level I haven’t since my brother became an ancestor. All the events, shows, nights, conversations, grace and understanding has helped me heal and climb. This home meant so much to me, moving on from it deserves a final lap so here goes, kicking off this Wednesday I present to you #DIANARAW: “The Lounge Series” 4 curated events in collaboration with some of my FAVORITE artists in the city.
