OU Health “Saige” A proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Saige was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in her early 20s. For a young, active woman with her whole life ahead of her, being told her survival might be measured in months was devastating. With the care and support of OU Health, Saige fought back and made a full recovery. She is now able to pursue the things she loves. One of those being stickball, an ancient Native American sport where teams use wooden sticks to pass a leather ball and score on a target pole. Telling Saige’s story and getting to learn the history and spirit of stickball was an incredible experience. Grateful to the entire team, the First Americans Museum, and all the players who welcomed us in and shared with us such a powerful and beautiful game. OU Health “Never Done. Never Outdone.” These are the real, everyday heroes. We had the privilege of spending a week @ou.health capturing real doctors, nurses, scientists, technicians, and staff at work. Day in and day out, they fight to improve and save the lives of every person who walks through their doors. It was a truly humbling and eye-opening experience to be part of this project. To visually showcase  the iconic “power of three” in the @adidas stripes, we used a triple-mirrored prism to create layered reflections. We also jump-cut between three matched frame compositions of different individuals performing the same action, reinforcing the visual theme. On top of that, our cinematography approach was to have fast fluid movement mixed with an authentic documentary handheld style — capturing something that feels both elevated and realistic.
