An ode to my ancestors… To get all glammed up in Kente at a staple boutique @villamonticello Accra, is so enriching and empowering. I truly admire the rich heritage Kente possesses which has me feeling so attached to my royal heritage and I’m feeling beyond queen like. Something wonderful happened the day I landed in Accra on my BA flight.. my Instagram handle changed to @chanelboateng . After 2 years of simply being ignored by Meta and FB, I changed my brand and had no response when seeking for support from at least 10 different staff, even almost got scammed £3K from an agent who claimed they could get my account changed. On the flight over, I contemplated deleting this account 😢 I really had had enough.. and then an angel @josh_adeyemi sent me message to confirm the change was done literally less than a week I reached out to him. A special big love to @lorrainehwright .. a powerful woman behind the scenes also guys, she doesn’t brag herself enough 😂 who knew she worked at Meta who connected me to Josh to get this change done.. this is why we need spaces to celebrate ourselves.. Lorraine is the plug for the diaspora and is always so supportive, thank you sis 🙏
