Unfortunately due to safety concerns caused by high winds across the hill, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s event. Jack is passionate about the importance of trees, not only for the environment but also for health and wellbeing. He combines the forest with a beautiful light display, as he knows how much light reflects our mood and is so important for our mental health. 📸 @andrepattendenpersonal

𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 📍 Berkeley St, outside Blackfriars Priory, and on the corner of Southgate St & St Mary de Crypt 🕛 Comes to life at dark, when the lampposts turn on 📆 October - December Bright Nights has invited award-winning digital artists Chomko & Rosier to turn three ordinary lampposts in the centre of Gloucester into magical illuminated stages where everybody can dance and play with their shadows. Shadowing gives memory to city lights, enabling them to record and play back the shadows of those who passed underneath. 📸 @andrepattendenpersonal

Powered by an outer mechanical skeleton, Breathing Room invites you into a gently illuminated tunnel lined with 28,000 cones that ‘breathe’ like a living organism. From tomorrow, experience immersive art installation Breathing Room at @blackfriarspriory ! ⁠ ⁠ Presented by Bright Nights, Breathing Room is a walk-in kinetic light installation created by Anna Berry (@weeannabee ) that perfectly combines organic and machine elements, creating a unique sensory experience. ✨⁠ ⁠ 📅 From Sat 6 Nov - Sun 14 Nov 2021 | Open Daily 12noon - 9pm⁠ 📌 @blackfriarspriory | Free⁠ ⁠ There are Relaxed/sensory friendly sessions available daily from 3pm - 4.30pm - you can book a ticket for these sessions via @blackfriarspriory This commission has been kindly supported by @weareunltd ID: photo taken at the entrance to Breathing Room. Light seeping in from the outside creates a play of shadows and light on the white cones, so that some of them appear grey rather than white. A mechanical skeleton can be viewed on the outside of the structure.
