Shot on
@ilfordphoto PANF+ 50 on 4x5 sheet film. 🎞️
I was lucky enough to receive six early sheets of Pan F 50 to shoot with over the last month, and honestly, these feel like some of the most special photographs I’ve ever taken. ✨
I only began shooting 4x5 film less than a year ago, so being chosen to shoot for such a special launch feels like a huge honor.
I chose the incredibly talented
@gloryebinama to help me test these sheets in the studio. I wanted to experiment and really push PANF+ 50 to see how it would perform under studio lighting, first using only constant lighting, then with strobes.
When I received my negatives back from
@lafilmlab , I ran home to scan them in and watched them come to life on my screen. I genuinely think these are some of the best black and white images I’ve ever taken. The transition from black to gray to white, the contrast, the highlights, and the deep shadows all came together in a way that honestly made me emotional seeing them for the first time.
This was also my first time experimenting with double exposures and constant lighting on 4x5 film. I knew it would be risky, especially with only six sheets of film, but I also knew the reward could be incredibly high if it worked. And wow, was it worth it. Thank you to the team at
@ilfordphoto for trusting me with this launch.
