This season also marks an important update as we’re renewing and strengthening our policies to better support both new and existing members, making the database more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of diverse creative practices.
GAP exists to create visibility for underrepresented and international artists in Finland, centring multicultural perspectives, lived experience, and community-driven work.

"I was born and grew up in an artistic family in Russia, and creativity has become my constant also in professional field.
My practice is rooted in the belief that all that all that exists possesses a soul. Through subconscious improvisation and transparency of watercolor, I explore the inner landscapes of nature and humanity, seeking to reveal the invisible connections between them. My art is a search for restorative space - a quiet dialogue between light, silence and the living essence of the world.
The northern air is still yet contrasting, filled with freshness and illusions - a unique, influential element of the surrounding world. It is something that must be preserved in its pristine form for the future. To be honest, this northern air gave me a new artistic style and impulse. And I believe it has allowed me to finally breathe in unison with the world in which I, so we all, live".

In partnership with @diversify.global to pilot the Nordic Equity Framework, we gathered yesterday evening with GAP’s board and full members, online and in person for a hands-on workshop reflecting on power, participation, and the future of our work 🌍
Together, we explored how to: – move from advocacy to enabling artists to hold power – better listen to and act on community voices – share influence and decision-making more widely – turn participation into real agency
Grounded in Diversify’s Equity Framework, the session focused on practical steps we can take now, from identifying who is not yet being heard to making our impact more visible.
