Hola Europa 🪄 DAT GARCIA OPEN BOOKING ✨ con los dedos juntos corro la marca, con la palma suave abro la puerta Como saben, acá siempre trabajando desde la autogestión y la comunidad, que a mi gusto sigue siendo la economía más sustentable en estas épocas capitalistas y mainstreamistas, moviendo energías terrestres y de las otras para que la música viaje 🌍 En agosto/septiembre voy a estar en Europa porque fui invitada por el National Arts Centre de Canadá al @globalproducersprogram Summit en Copenhague, para hacer música nueva con productorxs de todo el mundo. Y sí, estoy bastante cerca de las fechas pero justamente por eso decidí abrir oficialmente el booking europeo, además de que el viaje coincide con Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈 Voy a estar viajando con mi live set: hip hop, folklore digital, electrónica, voz, charango, sintes y visuales en vivo. Mucha energía, mucho baile y muchas ganas de compartir música y comunidad. Así que artistas, venues, festivales, colectivas y amigxs europexs: si sienten que mi proyecto puede resonar en sus espacios, o simplemente sienten que tenemos que conocernos y hacer música, escríbanme 💌 [email protected] También quiero agradecer muchísimo a Caro @chia.productions y a todo el equipo del NAC por darle un impulso enorme a que esto pudiera suceder ✨ La verdad es que todo empezó simplemente con el deseo muy fuerte de asistir a este summit… y ya sabemos que cuando el deseo se mueve, empiezan a abrirse caminos. Tallinn Music Week @tallinnmusicweek is a major multi-genre music and culture festival held in Tallin and runs from April 9 to 12. This week in Toronto! NAC Popular Music, Women In Music Canada Global Summit, and SOCAN Music partnered to host a Songcamp. Three of the producers in the Global Network for Women Music Producers took part in the Songcamp, producing and writing music for film and television. The producers involved: Jinting Zhao, Mica Hourbeigt, Brenley MacEachern The NAC Popular Music Executive Producer, Heather Gibson was also a panelist on Meaningful Outreach and Sustainable Change in the Music Industry.

Women and non-binary music producers from around the world met in Calgary and Banff last summer as part of the NAC's commitment to address inequity within the music industry. The third annual creative summit allowed these producers from Australia, Sweden, Estonia, Mexico, Wales, and Canada to learn and grow their craft. 🇨🇦 When only 6% of Canadian producers are women, we build a network and watch them flourish. (Link in story) ****** Des femmes et des personnes non binaires du monde entier spécialisées en production musicale se sont rassemblées à Calgary et à Banff l’été dernier dans le cadre d’une initiative du CNA pour lutter contre les inégalités dans le milieu de la musique. Cette troisième sommet créative annuelle a permis à des artistes d’Australie, de Suède, d’Estonie, du Mexique, du pays de Galles et du Canada d’apprendre et de se perfectionner. 🇨🇦 À peine 6 % de femmes dans le milieu de la production au Canada… Nous avons mis en place un réseau et les avons vues s’épanouir. 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 / 𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐄 Le nouveau simple francophone de Darkometro « Tout ce qu’il reste de beau » est une confession pure et délicate, imprégnée de la musique qui a bercé leur jeunesse. Darkometro est le résultat de plusieurs décennies de collaboration entre Patrick Krief (The Dears) et Maïa Davies (Lauréate des JUNOS 2025). « Tout ce qu’il reste de beau », chante une époque décidément plus folk, sans bien sûr oublier leurs propres signatures sonores : mélodies effervescentes, guitares planantes et esthétisme indie décidément montréalais. Le nouveau simple est réalisé et mixé par Krief et coécrit par Davies et Krief, et évoque l’émerveillement devant les belles choses qui nous entourent à chaque instant de notre quotidien et un positivisme intègre tourné vers l’avenir. La chanteuse Maïa Davies ajoute : « Je pense que c’est ma mère, parce qu’elle est originaire de la belle Côte Nord du Québec, qui m’a transmis son optimisme pour la vie et l’art. » ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Darkometro’s new french language single “ Tout ce qu’il reste de beau” (All the beauty that is left) is out today, evoking wonder at the beautiful things that surround us in every moment of our daily lives. Darkometro and its two JUNO Award-winning and nominated members now enter a decidedly more folk era that nevertheless honours their signature sound: effervescent melodies, soaring guitars, and a decidedly Montreal indie aesthetic. “I think it was my mother, who is from Quebec’s wild north coast, who passed on her optimism for life and art to me,” expresses Davies, who has released two solo albums in French.

Bye bye and thank you 2025! ✨ This year was so special to me. I recorded my new album with help from some amazing musicians and organizations. I joined the Global Network of Female Music Producers and Ptasie Radio Polish community group. I traveled to Canada, Croatia, Portugal, Italy. I’ve met some fantastic people, I taught and helped some of them. I had lots of support too. I passed my first Welsh exam and wrote+released my first song in Cymraeg. I had some special guests during the summer. Saw lots of unforgettable shows and concerts. I went on tour around Wales with Gruff Rhys. I played plenty of solo shows, band shows, community shows. I developed my skills in many areas and changed my work situation massively. I recorded a soundtrack for a Welsh language film. I read some mega interesting books and discovered new music. I worked alongside/collaborated with lots of amazing musicians. I am grateful for all the beautiful opportunities, fun adventures, new friends and old, magical moments full of music. I have developed so much in so many areas of my life. I learnt so much about the world and about myself. I am full of hope to continue this journey of development and happiness in 2026. I wish y’all 🩵 make beautiful memories 🫂 have the kindest people around you 🧠 keep developing 🎴 keep healthy balance ✨ find/preserve magic in 2026. Thank you for being here.
