There are moments that stay with you long after they’re over. Yesterday was one of them. At Lady Ibiam Girls’ Secondary School, I looked into the eyes of young girls who deserve a world that is kinder, safer, and more than the one we often give them. We spoke about S£xual a$$ault; the pain, the fear, the silence so many are forced to carry. In that moment, I saw courage, strength, and perseverance. As a trained martial artist, I shared self-defense techniques with them because even in a broken world, they deserve to know they aren’t helpless. This wasn’t just another awareness, it was a promise to stand, speak, protect, and fight for every girl who has ever felt unsafe. I remember starting off as Nigeria’s first VERSATILE Androgynous Fashion Runway Model over eight(8) years ago, which meant defining that niche from the ground up. Most of you who have followed my journey from inception definitely remember how much we’ve been able to achieve by God’s Grace Today, I’ve been privileged to have coached models and creatives across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. A wise mentor within the industry @obyivy said a few words that has stuck with me through my transition within the creative industry. “Modelling is a means to many other achievements in life, you just need to utilise it effectively.” This has been my anchor from being just a model to a coach, creative director, scout, event coordinator, and a few other creative roles I’ve been privileged to play while championing the development of other creative within my community, leading to my involvement in placing Nigerian models internationally, entrepreneurship skill development through our “CATWALK & ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOP WITH @glitz_on_heelz “ as well as supporting and sponsoring beauty queens & kings on their respective international competitions. Most of yall must have noticed my transition, along with me being away from the runway for a few years now. I got to understand the next phase of my journey which is why i then moved to putting our WORKS as creatives, especially SUSTAINABLE FASHION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NIGERIA within an Academic scope; a very strong foundation on how the creative industry in Nigeria also drives SDG 9 (Sustainable Development Goals - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Why’s the FASHION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP industry ALWAYS omitted during sustainability discussions within Nigeria? The 2024 revenue report by the LASG disclosed over $70million revenue. I’m now pleased to share that my application for the European Leadership Conference in Switzerland 2026 organised by the @risingleadersmag has been successfully received.
