🎄🗓️ Advent Collaboration 🗓️🎄 ✨ DAY 16 — @glitchofmind ❄️ Crimson Creep 3D & Fashion design meet Illustration, combining pattern making with digital fabric, with Glitchofmind and me. 💡 Meet the artist — Glitchofmind GLITCHOFMIND (Leonel Piccardo) is an Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary digital artist exploring the intersection of identity, technology, and Afrosurrealism through editorial storytelling. Born in the Dominican Republic, his early experiences shaped a quest for self-expression and self-discovery, drawing inspiration from nature, folklore, and fashion. With a background in photography, During COVID-19, he began exploring 3D, digital tools and Web3, adopting the moniker GLITCHOFMIND—a play on “peace of mind”—reflecting his journey and his use of imagination as a safe space for storytelling. 🎨 About the work — Glitchofmind This artwork is a 3D composition and a VR digital fashion design. The coat texture was created using one of Jenni’s paintings—something I’ve been wishing to do for a long time. Our collaboration flows into a winter fantasy of retrospection and reflection, where the red cuts through the snow-white like a pulse—a reminder of the passion behind our creative expression in this season of rest. ✨About work — Jenni’s Notes: Glad we got to collab with Glitch after years we had spoken about doing one. We discussed what to do, I suggested to do something with simple element like fabric or garment and then pattern for it, but he was so fast, he had already gone and done a amazing scene with beautiful clothing design! My task was to create a pattern, I created couple new patterns physically with pen and wax pastels, then created also new versions and color variations from past patterns I had done with acrylics and gouache. I sent the versions for Glitch and he picked up the one that fit the best. We tested up two different patterns on umbrella and clothing, but we decided to use just one in clothing, as keeping umbrella simple looked better. In its gaze, folklore becomes prophecy: ancestral whispers reimagined as digital myth. - ✨ “The essence of existence is to give; to transform pain into beauty, to rise from the dust into light. We are born of nature, and to nature we return.” ✨ - Inspired by the Lechón mask of Dominican and Caribbean folklore, Veyla is part the DREAMSPELL PANTHEON, on view until October 31st at Rosewood Amsterdam, curated by NXT Museum.
