On April 30th, 1789, in New York, George Washington stood at the beginning of something uncertain, something unfinished, something entirely new.
He and his vice president wore American-made brown broadcloth, wool grown here, woven here, tailored here. It wasn’t about appearance. It was about intention. A quiet but firm belief that if this nation was going to endure, it had to learn how to make for itself.
That idea still holds weight.
So in honor of that moment, I’m creating a new suit using fabric from American Woolen, finished with @gladsonltd American 250th anniversary lining. Not to recreate the past, but to carry its meaning forward.
Because this has never just been about clothing. It’s about choosing to build, to support, to stand behind the hands that make what we wear.
Every stitch is a decision.
Every garment, a reflection.
