Some kind of sick Fabergรฉ egg. Playing with the idea of sickness and health in the human body. The egg as a cell which, in this case, takes a life of its own.

A fully functional fermentation jar crossed with a cinerary urn and encrusted with soil from the cemetery. In many cultures, food gets buried underground to ferment, in the same way people get buried. What re-emerges is completely transformed.

Showing my work in the Nunhead cemetery chapel meant so much, for many reasons. Boy it was a helluva project! A lot of work, a lot of learning, and so many demonstrations of friendship.

Well well well! Iโm having my first solo show in a couple of weeks and Iโm *not* feverishly excited.
Will be a summary of the work Iโve been making and thinking about in the past couple of years, with a lot of new work I canโt wait to show youโจ Including a collaboration with the amazing @fransangle . Iโm really grateful to @thefeministlectureprogram
and @nunheadcemetery for offering this platform

On the final day, there will be a conversation with @strawberryfields_collective on ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ช๐ต๐บ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ยฃ๐ฏ0๐ค๐ช๐ฅยฃ. This collective is local to SE London and theyโve achieved really tangible results in particular with sourcing and delivering baby formula and flour to starving families in G4z4. They also run extremely informative and well researched talks, one for example on the greenwashing of the Isra4ยฃLI settler colonialism.

I had such a lovely time in Redcar, following my stalactite on its first trip outside London! ๐ Itโs currently on show as part of the Summer Exhibition at @redcar_contemporary .
Iโm very touched by Miyoko and Glennโs incredible kindness and hospitality, and grateful that guest curator @susanalexisrandoms selected my work for it.
Overall, what an interesting art show, what a sweet town, and such friendly people! ๐
