⚪️ setten #10 event act: Shiru Shiru @gingerbeerisking is a Berlin based radio maker, DJ and researcher. Drawing from her mixed Kenyan heritage, her eclectic sets weave political themes with sounds of past and present from the African continent and diaspora. As the host of élan vital (Refuge Worldwide @refugeworldwide ), her selections span all genres, dedicated to the joy of unexpected connections and sunshine after the storm. 🚨🚨🚨 ⚡️EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT!! ⚡️ ⚡️setten #10 back at 90mil!!⚡️ Our last collab with @dasamrec at @pankeculture was without exaggeration a monumental edition for many reasons… 🫶🫶🫶 Huge thanks to all the artists, guests and amazing audience who brought beautiful energy through out the night ❤️ Now, for our final event of the year, we’re coming back to 90mil @90mil___ with an exquisite downtempo & dub lineup for the real heads. An experimental duo project between Neek @sam_neek and Amos Childs of Jabu @j_a_b_u_j_a_b_u , O$VMV$M @osvmvsm will join us from Bristol for this occasion. Both members of Young Echo @youngechosound collective, the duo have released an excellent “Shroud of Fear 2 LP” earlier this year. They are set to play a hybrid/ live set with two special guest vocalists Birthmark and Franco Franco @francofranco3019 . Neek will also play a dubwise DJ set as Gorgon Sound. A co-founder of Riddim Chango Records @riddim_chango_records and one of the pivotal torch bearer of Japanese dub sounds, Element @element_riddimchango will make his live debut in Berlin to celebrate the release of his “Motion Exchange EP” from London’s MAL Recordings @mal_recordings . From our local scene, we’ve invited eioo @eioo___o & microba who have melted our hearts with their unique live set at everyone’s favourite Dub & Dal (@pfaublau_berlin ) party a few months ago, and a Refuge Worldwide @refugeworldwide resident DJ and researcher Shiru @gingerbeerisking to play an opening set while some Japanese comfort food is served by Mobile Izakaya @mobileizakaya . CIRCULAR LISTENING SESSIONS, rhythms that have journeyed across the globe – carriers of liberation and ancestral memory – will take over the SAVVY space. Alongside them, jamming emerges as a creative force for channeling and inviting the invisible. We invite you to gather around these manifestations, experimenting with formats that explore different ways of embodying sound and music.
