After spending a decade or more in music venues and dive bars, wearing myself down, it can be hell finding somewhere to hang out that doesn’t feel corporate or corny. I don’t want to wander targets, I get out of the house with my kids. We can only hang at parks so much.
I’ve made it a goal to see and work with art spaces everywhere we have gone and I love seeing the creative lifeblood breathe into people. Extremely stoked to collaborate with @thisismesmerize in Austin. Highly recommended
Two years ago was my solo show to preview the Tigers record American Stories Major Chords at Midway Deli. Dylan Johnson took some sweet pics that night. Shortly after this I decided to grow my hair out.
Dylan Johnson (@giantclick ) began his career with a photo studio and art gallery in Central Oklahoma before living on both coasts doing photos. While in New York City, he created images for some of his favorite bands, venues, magazines and news publications. Keep an eye out for his upcoming book of music photography based around Brooklyn.

Thousands turned up in Austin this weekend. Faces, voices and signs. Just remember no matter how fucked everything gets with armed agents in the street, eyes wide shut parties or files we’re allowed to congregate in America. We can get together, share ideas and make change happen.
