Paying a Visit to Our Ghyston Statue! 💚 If you’ve wandered through Temple Meads lately, you might have spotted the brand-new Bristol Giants statue featuring Gorum and our very own Ghyston! Naturally, we couldn’t resist a photo opp!  We’re thrilled - and honestly a bit flattered - that they’ve practically built a statue in our honour. How thoughtful is that?! 🤣 For those who don’t know, our name Ghyston comes from the mythological giants of Bristol folklore... Goram and Ghyston (or Vincent) are brothers credited with shaping the local landscape, specifically the Avon Gorge. They competed for the love of a giantess, Avona, by attempting to drain a lake, with the industrious Ghyston creating the Avon Gorge, while the lazy Goram fell asleep!
