The return of Seven Eight
Every drummer thatโs played it has their own way of making sense of the time signature. What I wrote and recorded originally was a pretty simple & primitive beat. Our first live drummer Kyle Beach took my beat and made it feel 10 times more natural. Then came Mario Gutierrez who used the advantage of his open-handed playing to rework it entirely, adding more clicks and buzz rolls that laid a really robust groundwork for everyone to sit on top of. Pictured in this reel is Daniel Bloche who reverse engineered Marioโs groove and made it work once again for cross-hand.
This song has been on a journey, but weโre psyched to have it back in rotation

Dropping on June 6th
Our recent show in Bremen, Germany was professionally taped for Radio Bremen. In one month the show in its entirety will be available to listen to courtesy of Bremen Zwei public radio.
