Yooooooo. I can finally share what I’ve been doing these last few months and what all those cryptic casting and crew calls were all about. I’ve been working with @mmsuk to make a trailer tackling important issues surrounding Diversity and Inclusion within the film space.  So what story am I telling... Maya invites her girlfriend Jasmine round for Sunday Dinner to meet her family. Only problem is they are a lot to handle and she is worried they will scare her off. At 11 years old I sang in the mirror Breathe Again like I knew about heartbreak At 13 I had no business singing ‘You Makin’ Me High’ for obvious reasons 😂 At 16 what did I know about ‘He wasn’t man enough for me’. Which man? 😂 I was raised on Toni. It was played in my house on a regular, Mum still has all the CDs. I claimed those CDs as mine for a while. I was glued to MTVBase when the videos came on. I know the lyrics bar for bar for 80% of her songs. Next time you see me I’ll treat you to an off beat Toni impression 😉 This was a moment. My heart literally skipped a beat. Pure joy!
