Rombu rolls into gear like an eager robot waking to a lucid dawn. Drums have been twisted into three dimensional ripples as gentle rattles set the scene for an emerging new flavour of dance music. There is a pushing flow and progressive spaciousness to the digital beats.Â
This 120 BPM roller Rombu takes its invented name the Balinese rhombus shaped double sided box harp which glistens through the piece.Â
Rombu pushes through electro with early Caribou-esqe drum rolls and Squarepusher like crushed snares. Another energetic filmic track which takes you miles from where you first started. Â

On behalf of ‘Stronger Minds in Music’ , @pearson_kate and @gethinpearson hosted a panel on ‘What does wellbeing mean in 2026?’ alongside @eve_horne at this years @focuswales . It was great to engage with so many people during and after the panel about the subject, discussing our diverse experiences, celebrating the progress that has been made as well as identifying the work that still needs to be done.

It’s a real full circle moment creating with this awesome band. @iamthebones and I go way back- 10 year olds riding bikes together along canals and Llanyrafon streets, teenage mischief , discovering our love of music over rental games from Blockbuster, and playing out first gigs in youth clubs to having the chance to create together decades later. Shell are one powerful quartet, a real band who bring their individual musical personalities together to create such a dense and emotional sound.
‘King Silence’ by @vahakn___ (feat. @max_baillie_ ) . An inspirational two days working with Vahakn on his EP. This was the first thing I heard in demo form and had to carve out the time to make this happen. A real affirming moment for why we took the jump to move and build the @instituteofsonicarchitecture .
