BREAKING NEWS: The President just
signed an executive order in an unconstitutional attempt to limit mail-in voting for millions of Americans, create a national list of U.S. citizens who can vote in each state, block federal funding to states who don’t follow these rules, and more.
While this executive order will likely be blocked by the courts, this marks the most aggressive federal attack by the president against mail-in voting.
Instead of protecting the freedom to vote, this order strips away a secure voting method that millions of voters rely on every year — especially voters in the military, overseas, rural, student, and senior voters, and voters with disabilities. And let’s be clear: The Constitution does not give the president power to decide how elections are run.
We should make it easier for ALL Americans to make their voices heard in our democracy — not harder.
TODAY 10•20 in many states is the last day to register to receive a ballot by mail for the November 4th special elections.
