A couple years ago I was invited to work on the series Foundation for Apple TV. The costume designers @trpcic and @27crossroads had some early concept art for the character of The Mule (@pilouasbaek ) but it wasn’t quite was Shawna wanted. While we were waiting for new illustrations I was allowed to do some concept sculpture for the chest armor. After seeing the direction we were going in clay, the 2D designs were halted and the remaining of the character’s armor was traditionally sculpted! These days this is all done with digital sculpture and 3D printing so a return to old school methods was incredibly satisfying. #foundation #themule #costumedesign
