Hi, I’m reintroducing myself ✨
I was raised just outside of Austin, Texas, but I grew up on TV sets—literally. My dad, director Felix Enriquez Alcala, had me running around costume departments before I could spell “wardrobe,” and that’s where the spark hit. I became obsessed with how stories are told through clothing, and I never looked back.
I went on to study at Parsons School of Design in NYC, learning how to fabricate, pattern, drape, and sew—turning imagination into something you can actually wear (and film). Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to help bring entire worlds to life through costume design.

Last night feels like a dream. Still processing today. Not going to lie, I’m sad, extremely happy but sad. I really wish Shawna would’ve been here to receive the Emmy with us. I’m so grateful her family was there with us. And so happy we got them and a few members of our crew up on the stage with us to receive and celebrate our win.
To the rest of our crew: this win is because of you. Thank you Shawna for bringing us all together and believing in us and constantly challenging us to be our best. We are a family because of you and I know we will all continue to have each other’s backs and support each other.
Thank you @dave.filoni for believing in our team and spending time with us in the warehouse, sculpting and telling us backstories for all the characters so we understood their costumes that much more. It meant the world to our team.
Thank you to the amazing fans and yalls love of our costumes. It means such much to all of us seeing you cosplay our work. Shawna loved for it and I know she would be over the moon happy seeing all of your amazing work.

If your household was like mine, @people was a weekly staple that I loved getting in the mail so I could look at the red carpet pics. The fact that I was photographed by them is crazy to me and such an honor. This award would not be possible without the amazing crew. Shawna had a team consisting of what she liked to call her “artists”. And that is exactly what they are. Artists. We also had the most amazing set team ever! Who made sure the actors always looked their best and would consistently give us feed back on how to make things better or easier for wear. Every single one of our crew members played a very important role in our department. And Shawna knew that. DO NOT OPEN a party and or wedding invite you may of gotten from me. My email was hacked. I am absolutely horrified right now. I’ve had my email for forever and literally every single person I have ever emailed in the 18 year span of owning this email has received a party invite for me and or a wedding invite for me. I’ll be honest—today’s been a tough one. I’ve cried a few times. I really miss Shawna. Seeing all your Star Wars posts has been both comforting and bittersweet—it reminds me how much I miss her, and the incredible Star Wars family we shared.
It still feels strange to accept that my time in a galaxy far, far away has come to an end. But more than anything, I’m deeply grateful—for the memories, the experience, and the family I found along the way.
Today also marks day one of shooting a new sci-fi project where I’m the costume designer. I know Shawna would be so proud, and I just wish she were here to celebrate it with me.
In her spirit, I did something that felt bold—I officially submitted Foundation Season 3 for Emmy consideration. The odds may be very stacked against us, but as Shawna always showed me, if you don’t try, you’ve already lost. #nevertellmetheodds

Life lately has felt a little chaotic—but in the best possible way.
This past month, my best friend @samcostumes married one of my favorite people, and I had the absolute joy of celebrating her every step of the way. I planned a bachelorette weekend where we basically ate our way through Los Angeles, and with a little help, we even made it to the Magic Castle. ✨ Then, in true Sam fashion, she and Matt tied the knot at Beale’s Bagels & Delicatessen—perfectly them, and completely unforgettable.
On top of all that, I’ve been diving into costume design for a few smaller projects with some incredibly talented people I love working with.
For now, I’m just trying to keep the momentum going and stay open to whatever comes next. This happens to me all the time. At conventions, in my dms or even on my posts. Toxic Star Wars fans can’t seem to not want to ruin things for others. I’ve learned to just tune them out cause it’s not worth trying to have a conversation with them. You are entitled to your opinion, but do not put others down or tell them they are not true Star Wars fans if their opinions do not align with your own. Star Wars is for everyone. I had the BEST time this weekend helping out at the @boutiquebookretreats book fair with @staymagicalcreations ! It was romance-themed (obviously my natural habitat 💕), and Val brought the magic with her stunning original rebinds. She also created a just-for-fun, show-inspired bind of Heated Rivalry because let’s be honest… we are, in fact, going to the cottage. Always. No questions asked.
Naturally, I had to wear my “Delulu” sweater because if there was ever a time to live our best delusional romance-reader lives, it is now. And as we all know: Delulu is the solulu. 😂

Sweet or Spicy? 🌸🔥
Mood boards are where every costume story begins. They turn ideas into visuals — colors, textures, silhouettes, attitude, and energy all living in one place. For this concept, I explored two different vibes: Sweet (soft, dreamy, delicate) and Spicy (bold, confident, fiery).
Creating boards like these helps the director and producers see the direction I want to take the character in through their clothing. It keeps the vision focused, by helping me get on the same page the higher ups. When boards are approved, they are then used to help the costume team when they shop, pull and do fittings. I also like to show the actors their character mood boards in fittings or on zoom calls when we first meet. That way the actors also have a chance to connect to what I’ve envisioned for their clothing and in turn they get to bounce off of it or give me ideas that I then can add. Mood boards are essential in helping bring a character to life and I love putting them together.

Remember when I said to write and send those emails, even though it’s scary because rejection is possible? Well… I sent them, and someone said YES! I’m now signed with an agency, which will hopefully open the door to even more Costume Design opportunities. And before I even finished signing, I booked a Costume Design gig! I can’t wait to share more with you all.
