My music project HONESTY has finally dropped its first album, U R HERE. Years of developing, collaborating, shaping, and forming have gone into this. When I first decided to start writing music again before lockdown, I had no idea where it would lead to. I’m proud to have made something that feels true to what I care about artistically. I really feel like the album is a reflection of the world around us and the one inside our heads. I hope upon listening that people find something in it, the same way I found something from creating it. Most importantly, none of this could have happened without the people who’ve been part of it. Massive love to everyone who’s contributed, collaborated, and helped shape this record, especially Matt Peel for somehow convincing me to come back to his studio (lol) and Josh for being both a musical magician and an impeccable taxi service (lol) To everyone behind the scenes—you know who you are. The music is more commonly referred to as hardcore, which is characterised by fast beats, distorted and heavy kickdrums, with dark themes and samples.
