16 years ago, I wrote an exhibition proposal to celebrate Ayrton Senna’s enduring legacy through my father, Joe Honda’s lens. The project stalled for many years, but the idea never really left me, and last year I returned to it. Sharing these photographs in Sao Paolo Brazil, on May 1, - for the first time outside of Japan - and hearing how much Ayrton meant and continues to mean here today feels deeply meaningful. These images come from my late father’s archive, built over decades — a body of over 300,000 images that I’ve been working to preserve over the past decade — with many more images and stories still waiting to be rediscovered. Grateful to the @mis_sp for their vision in bringing this exhibition to life, to @sennabrasil for their guidance and support, and to the many friends and collaborators who were so generous with their time and knowledge along the way. And last but not least to Shashin Kosha, Genesis and Metro Imaging for their meticulous work in bringing these images into the present.

Opening Night Chris Packham MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN YOU. Combining formal ambition with an urgent contemporary message, the images in 'More Beautiful Than You' are the result of careful premeditation, unerring attention to detail and rigorous visual editing. The result is an exhibition by turns beautiful, unsettling and uplifting, suffused with an ethical perspective that is impossible to ignore. Breaking the familiar mould of the wildlife photographer as nature’s humble witness, Chris Packham does not simply watch and wait – he anticipates, researching his subjects and interacting with their environment in order to achieve compositions that had previously only existed in his mind. This shift from observation to orchestration is central to the unique, provocative power of Packham’s work.
