POWERPLANT has come a long way from rocking in the bedroom to playing hard on the world stage. The synth-punk band is based in London, UK and is unmistakable for the sad & hopeful atmosphere the music conjures via catchy goblinesque vocal melodies, wailing synthesisers, giddy bass and the rhythmic march of the drum machines.
The debut synth-punk album ‘People in the Sun’ took the internet by storm in 2019. Created solely by the band leader Theo Zhykharyev, it captivated the world with eccentric bass lines, fuzzy synthesisers and touching lyrics. It landed on ‘Best of…’ lists by Pitchfork and Bandcamp, receiving nods from Iggy Pop and Henry Rollins.
Zhykharyev assembled a band for touring, consisting of the best London’s underground has to offer. Together, they tour the globe relentlessly. They played far and wide on both coasts of the US, Australia, Europe and the UK & shared the stage with international cult rockers like OSees, Show Me The Body, Hotline TNT and Ovlov. Powerplant moves at its own accord, always morphing into something more powerful and mysterious. With each release, Powerplant reinvents itself.
The music making machine has been restarted in full force with return-to-form ‘Crashing Cars’ 7” and ‘Heat’ EP in 2025-It’s never the same, but always 100% Powerplant.
HITMEN is the new project fronted by Karim Newble (formerly of ISLAND OF LOVE). A new addition to London’s music scene, Hitmen have wasted no time turning heads and collecting attention. Their debut release Rock To Forget came in October of 2024, a 5 track EP built upon layers of guitars, catchy and driven melodic hooks, and a healthy dose of distortion.

Firmly rooted in the post-punk and cold wave tradition, yet effortlessly bridges the gap to the here and now. In punk time it might as well be eons; the entire existence of some bands have come and gone within that space. But for others it’s a matter of patience. Like cicadas waiting to come up from the ground, waiting for just the right moment, Marbled Eye have returned with a sophomore full-length worth the half-decade wait. "Read The Air" is everything a post-punk record should be: sharp, imaginative, and dynamic, blending art-school creativity, garage rock swagger, and primitive hardcore force like the intermingled shards of a freshly smashed pane of glass.
KLEBSTOFF
Klebstoff is a duo that moves between influences of synth pop and minimal wave. With their first full-length album “Komplex,” , they pay homage to early works of synth pop while presenting a contemporary project in every respect. The songs are indicators of the state of mind of modern existence, told in the language of sparkling analog synthesizers. The duo displays a distinct pop sensibility with an honest DIY attitude. Their live performances deliver frantic drum sequences, hypnotic basslines, and dreamy synth melodies that effortlessly enliven the dance floor with a combination of gentle vocals and strong visual elements.

PLATTENBAU is an international Berlin-based foursome that fuses elements of post-punk, noise rock and wave into a dark and intense potion. Their sound blends robotic drums, gothy basslines, mystical guitars and paranoid synths into a mood akin to a 90s VHS horror soundtrack, tied together with deep, brooding vocals. The result is a sonic experience that feels both chaotic and meticulously crafted, on brand with their slogan “Tight, loose and evil”. The band formed in 2011, inspired by the brutalist architecture of east Berlin’s post-Soviet landscape. A mainstay of the Berlin underground scene, over the years the band evolved in members and instrumentation until solidifying its current lineup: Lewis Lloyd (Vox/Synth), Sally Brown (Bass/Vox), Brandon Walsh (Drums) and Jesper Munk (Guitar/Synth). Back in Vienna with a new record and still constantly questioning systems of beliefs, which often lead to existential angst.

Since their formation in their native Holland their music has been constantly changing, always challenging and often quite breathtaking. In 2017 the last 5 star album "Days Of Black" was released of which most said that CLAN OF XYMOX have reached a new, perhaps even their highest peak...or?
2020 saw a brand new studio album named "Spider On The Wall" of which 3 singles with videos were released and reached all number 1 in the DAC charts.
The album is an artistic triumph for the band. Dark & intimate, while masterfully exploring signature dark electro-gothic sound that has made the act adored around the world.
Exactly a year after Spider On The Wall, Legendary goth rock band Clan of Xymox returns with a stunning new album. Limbo is a master stroke of modern goth rock, expanding the signature Clan of Xymox sound to create a captivating take on this moment in our history.

You listen to “Goth Housing” and think of everything at once: Robert Smith secretly taking ecstasy, vacant properties in Vienna’s Josefstadt, the total absence of vitamin D, and the question of whether black is really the answer or whether it just makes you invisible to the impositions of the outside world.

MORWAN, originally formed in 2019 in Kyiv, Ukraine by Alex Ashtaui and now based in Berlin, is a post-punk act known for its dynamic and dark sound, often incorporating elements of folk and ethno music. Their music is characterized by formidable drumming, rhythmic bass, deep atmospheric synthesizers, cyclic guitar parts, and piercing folk instruments, all woven together to create a chaotic primitive dance atmosphere.
MORWAN has released four full-length albums and a collab track with A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS on labels such as Feel It Records, Detriti Records, Reclusion Records, and Death Shadow, and has performed multiple festivals and concerts across Europe.
DENEVÉR is a duo out of Budapest harnessing the power of electronics to create complex, raw post-punk that occasionally toes the line of darkwave EDM. After consistently releasing material for the past few years, DENEVÉR decided to release the emotive and layered full-length Economía Doméstica. This eleven-song album uses everything from sampled audio, distorted synthesizers, overdriven drum machines, and noisy instrumentation to create an atmosphere that is on one hand reminiscent of ’80s-era new wave, and on the other is approaching post-hardcore. Emotionally heavy, Economía Doméstica is anguished, urgent, and melancholic while exploring a complex and shifting sonic space. The vocals are often delivered in unison by the duo which provides a sort of power behind the lyrics. Definitely check this out when you’re in the mood for something a little different.
