There are a lot of people building something right now.
Not in perfect conditions.
Not with extra time.
But in between everything else their days require.
Making decisions.
Carrying responsibility.
Staying with the work even when it stretches them.
This isn’t about luck.
It’s about the kind of consistency and clarity that gets built over time.
If you’re in this season—holding a lot and still choosing to build—
just know you’re seen, and the celebration’s coming.

A little bit of what the day actually looks like right now.
Moving between spaces, taking calls across clients, shifting from strategy to execution to decision-making—and then back again.
This is the part of building a communications business that doesn’t always get seen.
Managing multiple conversations at once.
Holding context across different clients.
And still making space to build what’s next in real time.
It’s not linear. It’s layered.
And it requires a different kind of focus to stay present in all of it.
Still building. Still scaling. Still in it. Still hungry for more. 🔑

Being a CEO is not a shortcut. It’s a responsibility.
The title doesn’t come with a grace period. If you’re in the seat, you’re expected to operate like it—with the business acumen, the vocabulary, the processes, and the understanding to back it up.
And if you’re not there yet? That’s okay. But closing that gap is on you.
The fastest way to scale your business is to scale yourself first.

I built a bicoastal communications agency in under two years. Not because I had the perfect plan. Because I understood one thing deeply: community and communication are not soft skills. They are the infrastructure that scales businesses. 📌
@polishedcomms grew because I invested in relationships before revenue. In clarity before content. In showing up consistently in rooms where the work actually mattered.
And somewhere in the middle of building that, I started noticing a gap.
Founders—especially women, minority, veteran, and disabled business owners—are doing incredible work with no real infrastructure for learning how to communicate it, lead with it, or grow because of it.
So, I’m building the glue in the gap.
Gem Class is for the founders who are in it right now—figuring it out, showing up anyway, and deserving more than advice that doesn’t account for where they actually are.
This is what that work in progress looks like. Tap in.

Should have posted this on April 1 because *everyday* is for community. But this month, the shift is underway.
Building in closer proximity.
Less distance.
More alignment with the people this work is for.
Tap in, everything coming was made for you.

April sessions are open—and then Gem Sessions taking a pause.
Gem Sessions have been overwhelmingly successful thanks to everyone who’s leaned in, showed up, and ran with the ideas sparked. Sessions have resulted in:
✨ Book launches
✨ Speaking engagements
✨ Stronger storytelling
✨ And above all, greater communication clarity.
And they’ve revealed something clearly:
This work needs to scale. 💯
So, I’ll be back soon with more ways to engage, more access to the thinking behind this work, and a community to grow alongside it.
If you’ve been considering a session, this is the final window before that shift.
Same work. Same depth. Just a different format on the other side.
April dates are live. Lock in. 🔒

Most founders don’t realize how many problems trace back to communication. 📌
Not just what you say publicly, but how clearly your business is understood, internally and externally.
When communication improves, things don’t just sound better. They move differently.
This is the work inside Gem Class—building communication as a system that supports how your business operates, grows, and makes decisions.
Communication isn’t one part of your business; it’s the system behind all of it. If something in your business feels off, start here.

If you support women, you have to be willing to have honest, transparent, sometimes difficult conversations. Including how we talk about pricing. 💯
Women aren’t underpricing because the work isn’t there—they’re underpricing because they were never taught how to anchor in it. That’s the gap.
And it’s on us to close it.
We didn’t get here on our own. There were women before us who pushed, corrected, and raised the standard. We have to do the same.
Not just by encouraging, but by being direct when something’s off. Have the conversation, build into her, and empower her to build into someone else down the line. Let’s make that the new standard.

Courage, Comebacks & Conversations 🎙️ The Strength You Didn’t See Coming
I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of a few podcasts, and this one might have been the most special. This episode is for the people navigating adversity in real time, pivoting at a moments notice, and trusting themselves to figure it out. ✨
I’m so appreciative of Susan and the opportunity to share this conversation while she held such a strong posture of support and encouragement. Link in bio if you’re interested in hearing the full episode!

Before we move into March, pause.
February was about rhythm—how you structure your weeks, protect your focus, and lead with intention.
Now ask yourself:
What felt aligned?
What felt reactive?
What needs adjusting?
Momentum isn’t about speed. It’s about awareness.
