Hi everyone,
It’s been quite a journey since I first started my little nail studio, and I think it’s about time I properly introduce myself. My name is Kanitta. I moved to Australia by myself from Thailand in 2007 with nothing but a laundry bag ( the kind that looks like a colourful Balenciaga Bazar bag) full of Warhammer 40k miniatures, which I loved painting. Before all of this, I was a professional fighter in what feels like another lifetime. When I first arrived here, I worked as a dishwasher in a café while training for a fight that never happened. I ended up staying in hospitality for years until old sports injuries made it hard to be on my feet all day. So, here I am now, doing nails and loving every second of it. If you’d told the old me I’d be a nail artist, I probably would’ve laughed. But I’m so grateful for the crazy journey that brought me here. I absolutely love my job, and I can’t wait to see my amazing clients, many of whom have become friends I look forward to catching up with.
A little bit about me: • I’m a dog mom to a Frenchie who I treat like my birthed child. • I’m a Scorpio. • I manage my depression and anxiety well without medication. • I have a heart condition. • I’m a Buddhist. • I avoid caffeinated beverages because they keep me up for days. • I learned English by watching “Terminator 2,” “Friends,” and “South Park.” • I’m the first female fighter from Southeast Asia to compete in MMA. • I’m a domestic violence survivor. • I’ve been into heavy music since I was 11. I love gothic/ death/ black metal. • I love true crime and ghost stories. • I love drawing. I love Manga. Junji Ito is my favorite.
