A taster of what’s to come. ‘RAINBOW ON THE ROAD’ opens its doors this Thursday 21st May and Byron Bay is the first stop. The space has been curated by our co-founder @jadeegillett , bringing together original artworks by @gelbell alongside beautifully styled pieces by @harper.fredericks , @ashleycorbettsmith and @mashstudios__ Join us for the opening reception on Thursday 5–8pm, where we’ll be pouring margaritas by @cincatequila , natural wine by @natural_order_wine and refreshing seltzers by @cleancollectiveofficial Gelbell’s works are available to purchase now and will be on view in the space until 31st May. After that, they’ll remain available on our website for future orders and private viewings can always be arranged. The space is open to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10am–2pm until the pop-up ends on Saturday 20th June. **Artist Profile: Gelbell** Melbourne duo Angelica Wootton and Isabella Greene, known as Gelbell, bring a fresh collaborative approach to art by painting simultaneously on the same canvases. This dynamic interplay originated during a 2020 lockdown, evolving from a simple birthday gift into a full-time practice. Their vibrant style features bold color blocking, sculptural layering, and expressive mark-making, using everything from hands to rags. They refer to their partnership as “one brain with four arms,” reflecting their visceral, female-centric artworks. Gelbell’s characters, inspired by everyday moments like beachside poses, serve as nostalgic visual punchlines. They prioritize authenticity over idealization, connecting viewers to the rawness of daily life. Influenced by artists like Picasso and Kusama, their spontaneous process adapts to various environments, from their beachside studio to pop-ups in Ibiza and Paris.
