Breaking Bread After Dark : Outtakes Vol 2. A few snapshots into our intimate Tapas night- Breaking Bread After Dark*. It was a Full house which matches our hearts. A night of friends and food. So much fun making @coffeewasblack our house for the weekend to bring our vibe and turning a coffee shop into an ANALOG bistro for a new. Everyone loved the menu offerings, crowd favorites were our Yardi platter, Oyster Pate Crostini, especially our “Honey Cajun Tandoori” Chicken skins which sold out almost as soon as we could serve. Moreover ,this was the surprise launching of our first product— our “HONEY CAJUN TANDOORI” spice blend, which will go up online for sale to the community ,this Friday! My Brothers Keeper From the day I was born, Brotherhood was basically embedded into my identity from being born a Twin. From there on my identity was tied to the “sibling-ship of another person. (Didn’t help that my Dad was a Twin too) Lol My dad valued family more than anything in the world and he instilled that into Me and my brothers coming up. Always teaching us that family is the most important thing in life and to always be there for each-other. Grateful that I had a Dad who was loving and show us unconditional love. He never let a day go without telling us how much he loved us…Ever I cherish these lessons close to my heart . So When I made friends (my new brothers in life) I cherish them and did my best to give them that same love as if they were my born brothers. I’ve never been scared to tell my friends that I love them. Early on I noticed many young men didn’t get this Love so I wanted to be a beacon that it’s cool be vulnerable wit other men and how we all need to create space for healthy male camaraderie Nonetheless I proud to have the beautiful men God has gave to Me to call My brothers. Season Dump 1. Been a Great Fall/Winter Season of learning, connecting, reconnecting, with others and self. Hosted a fun Girls Night series for the gworls ,where we made a menu and fun spread and I created + designed the flyer/info poster. Had such a great time hosting them and cooking for them✨. They loved everything from my signature southern playa candied bacon and a spread with a fun assortment. As well as my signature Fried “Koji Brine” @tastykoji Honey Cajun-Tandoori Wings. For Dessert, we had My favorite Miso-Gochujang Caramel Sesame Cookie that they washed down with a house made milky Spiced Chai ☕️🫚🍂🍁(No pictures 🙃). Looking forward to hosting more.
