To end the year I completed my first ever mural @dsdi_ with new media integration in mind.
Using @touchdesigner I was able to projection map my work including audio reactivity with CHOPs and a fully controllable interface using @touchosc on an iPad.
I painted this mural using aerosol, paint markers, and acrylic paint for touch ups. Progressively using less crutches in my process, but this was an amazing learning experience for me
Thank you to those that pushed me to finally paint at this size, it feels good to see finished. Thanks to @dsdi_ for being a place where I can explore and build my skills in so many ways.

Process for animating my most recent illustration, “Noodles” inspired by the likes of night hawks and blade runner’s noodle scene. Focused on lighting/reflection, shadows, animated screens, and aging. This is a departure from my normal distanced perspective and takes a much closer look.

I probably struggle most with paint on canvas, but I keep pushing forward and seeing some growth in certain areas. I like the results on the lettering stencil/highlights. Learning more about how to take away my usual black outlines and new ways to do my windows. Definitely a fun one!

With a lot of new followers recently, I wanted to introduce myself and what I do!
My name is Geoff Dohrmann and I am a multimedia artist from Chicago but local to Denver for the past 13 years.
I create in a lot of different ways but architecture has been the thread binds it all together from digital to paint, from professional to personal.
Primarily, I am a creative technologist and artistic director @dsdi_ where I have had the pleasure of creating immersive art like large scale projection mapping and interactive design using sensors and generative visual programming on a team of 3. We run a studio/gallery where we host community events, artist residencies, and accessible new media art workshops.
As for my personal work, I am an illustrator and animator with a background in graphic/web design but recently migrated into physical space with my work painting and laser engraving wood. This is my first year since incorporating my personal brand along with a web store and it’s been exciting/rewarding especially with the great support from friends
I love to mix and match every art form I’ve learned over the years and I am an open book about my process. Truthfully, I don’t think my architectural style is revolutionary in any way and I am often struggling to evolve my command over materials, but I am very proud of how I’ve been able to combine my mediums to create some unique concepts.

I recently finished my time as a demonstrating artist @denverartmuseum Cosmic Studio and it was one of the best experiences of my career to date.
Over my month, I got to meet new friends, connect with old ones, and chat with people of all ages. I’m so lucky to have been able to share my passion for architectural illustration as well as talking about creative resources in Denver such as @denverlibrary IdeaLab and creative technology workshops @dsdi_
The museum’s commitment to local arts & fabrication in this incredible space was special to be a part of independently and as part of @dsdi_ It is local organizations/programming that led me to this space as it all began with a chat during an art market @recreativedenver
Thank you to everyone that stopped and colored in my shared piece I will cherish it and hang it on my wall to remember you all!

Rejected concept for @ethdenver 2025 call
Sharing as I enjoy this either way. This piece examines an alternate future in which energy consumption for Ethereum continued to expand without The Merge cutting down on said consumption, creating an energy crisis.
Thankful to take the time to examine this concept and moving forward.
