This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re recognising the importance of creating space to pause. 🧠 ☁️
@mentalhealthfoundation are asking people to join them in taking action to support good mental health, and there are lots of simple things you can do to support your wellbeing.
Even the smallest steps can make a difference. 💚
A single intercepted signal helped turn the tide in one of the most dramatic naval hunts. ⚓
Even without cracking the code, British intelligence used radio tracking to locate Bismarck - setting up its final showdown.
From the loss of HMS Hood to the relentless Atlantic pursuit, this was a battle driven by both firepower and intelligence.
History isn’t just about what you know… it’s about what you can find. 🗺️
Happy Women in Maths Day! 🔢✨
“Across GCHQ and our partners are talented women mathematicians using ingenuity and their love of mathematics to solve the toughest of problems in keeping the country safe. Maths can truly take you anywhere, and there are many ways in which mathematics is used across our missions. I’m determined to do my bit to help shift the statistics around women pursuing mathematics and STEM in a positive direction, in my organisation and beyond.” - Anne Keast-Butler, Director, GCHQ
Today we’re joining the Academy for Mathematical Sciences in celebrating the women using mathematics to protect the UK and inspire the next generation. From cryptography to data science, maths is at the heart of our mission and it can take you anywhere.

I had the pleasure of attending CyberUK, the flagship conference run by the National Cyber Security Centre, with @cyberhq themselves!
As a mathematician, I was curious to learn more about how mathematics is used in cyber security so I asked the leading experts in the field some important questions.
As I walked around CyberUK, I was constantly reminded that careers in cyber security start with curiosity and enthusiasm. What connected everyone at this event was one shared purpose: protecting the things we depend on every day.

Brilliant to be at #CYBERUK26 in Glasgow this week, alongside our @CyberHQ bringing together government, academia and over 2,500 cyber security professionals to examine the theme 'The Next Decade: Accelerating our Cyber Defence' as the event celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Director GCHQ Anne Keast-Butler joined a panel alongside @CSOC_MOD Commander General Sir Robert Magowan and highlighted the importance of partnerships and the rich mix of minds alongside the role of defensive and offensive cyber operations and keeping the country safe.
On Wednesday, Anne explored all that #CYBERUK26 had to offer before joining inspirational guests and cyber leaders at the Women in Cyber Breakfast to kick off the second day of the conference.
