Intervals are the real ghetto! It's easily my hardest type of run right now but it's non-avoidable because as I am building my aerobic base, endurance and training my legs to run longer, I also have to train for speed. But it's the real ghetto! 😫
Did this solo the first time and it was as if I wanted to pass out. I wasn't prepared at all. This second time isn't any better leemao! Thank God for @green.abayomi for helping and encouraging me. It's my next run this week and right now I'm already thinking about my life because it is HARD! 😭
As a matter of fact, by my hair, you can tell I went through a lot. I didn't even care about it at all.
Btw, how many ‘Jesus’ did you count? Green said it was up to a hundred 😭
You see after that fifth one, I almost fainted 😂

I made this video 2 weeks after I relaxed my hair because I was immersing myself in it all. Aside that, I just didn't have so much time to record and if you know me, you know au don't rush my creative process just to tick creating content off my list. Nahhhh.
I don't know if you guys can tell from my expression that this hair makes me so happy. I have been so happy with my hair and in my entire life, I can say this is the happiest and curious I've been about my hair. I've bought products, buying accessories, making in-depth research and even interacting more with my hair. I sit in front of the mirror just to stare at this gorgeousness. I love it so much! I wish I did it earlier, because my scalp is less painful too.
I'm very okay with this texture and fron my research, I learned that transitioning fully might take about 3 relaxer applications especially if you don't want your hair to burn but I don't even mind this texture long term, it's fine by me.
By the way, y'all should help me find where I can get this ApHogee 2 step protein treatment. My hair depends on it. I don't want to make my hair till I get this done 😫
Just remember, before you relax your hair, relaxed hair is nit easier to maintain. You even have to put in more work to ensure your hair doesn't break, become weak or overly dry due to the effects of the chemicals you've applied.
I've been applying water-based leave-in conditioner daily to restore the moisture I’ve lost. And on some days, I mix water with oil and apply.
Intense deep conditioning, protein treatment, leave-in conditioning and bond repair are non-negotiables if you relax your hair. That's what you sign up for. Chemicals are not friendly to your hair, so you have to do more work to maintain your hair pH.
Lastly, SLEEP WELL AND DRINK ENOUGH WATER. YES! Non-negotatiable.
Lmk if you have any questions. Cheers to this transition 🤏🏾🥂

Planned to add a voiceover to this but while editing, I decided to leave it as it is so you can have a raw feeling of my experience.
First, I genuinely didn't like my experience and how my hair was handled. It messed up the entire experience for me because I was looking forward to it. She was not friendly, wasn't gentle with my hair, and didn't consider the pains I was experiencing while digging into my scalp.
Even as I was editing this video, I felt so bad about that experience. That salon is cancelled, never again. To think I wanted to go to a better salon but the one I really wanted didn't have that service, also, I did this impromptu because I had procrastinated for about 2 years. Lessons learned tho.
By the way, I was surprised as to how quickly the chemical broke down my hair texture. I was scared! Like what? Now now now? Wowwww! At several points, I was feeling attached to my natural hair texture but I just knew I had to let go lol.
Again, I used a neutralizing shampoo to wash the relaxer. This is the only shampoo you should use when you relax your hair, not hydrating or clarifying shampoo, NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO so it can properly wash off the relaxer in your hair without residue. If you don't use a neutralizing shampoo that is the only shampoo that can wash the relaxer and stop the chemical processing, the chemical continues processing and will result in severe hair damage, hair breakage, severe hair dryness, thinning, and even scalp burns after relaxing. So sometimes, it is not the choice of relaxer, it's your aftercare.
I couldn't do a protein treatment as well because she was so hostile, and I didn't get at the store near me. I didn't even wait to wash off the deep conditioner. I told her that I would do it when I get home because that environment was not right for me. I had to wash it at home myself.
I'm still on the hunt for ApHogee two step protein treatment. Checked stores and they didn't have it. Help a sis 😭
Basically, all I did that day was relaxer —> neutralizing shampoo —> hair mask (deep conditioner) —> leave-in conditioner —> hair growth oil.
Look out for the next video for my hair results ❤️

I’m transitioning to relaxed hair and I am so giddy about it!
Ever since I became an adult, I have never relaxed my hair because I grew up in a church denomination where relaxers will take you to hellfire straight up lol. But thank God for growth and understanding.
I've been contemplating whether to relax my hair or not but as each day passes by and I have to deal with so much pain from making my hair plus how my hair stops exciting me, I just knew it was time.
Come on this journey with me! 🥳
I used the @orsoliveoil_westafrica relaxer, the neutralizing shampoo from @megagrowth and @mizani intense moisture fusion mask.
Watch out for the next video to see how the process went! I'm so pumped and excited! 😍

I started running in March and it was honestly one of the best decisions and at the same time one of the hardest things I've done in a while. Running is hard and it requires a lot of discipline.
I was meant to run the Access Bank 10KM in February but I couldn't, was so sad. I channelled that anger into ensuring I run hard in March, and I'm glad I did.
Grateful to @fowe_tomi@deyemipresh@harriet_wonder for always encouraging me. And to the best run club ever @ekorunnersclub thank you! My run club has been so supportive and I love the community-first approach too. It's helped me connect with amazing minds too.
To more 🥳🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️

Was thinking of how to edit this video and I thought “Why not just leave the sounds and make it look organic” because tbh I enjoy these kind of videos as well.
So last week we ran with @adidasnigeria@ostudio__ng in collaboration with my run club @ekorunnersclub and I had a swell time! It was a community run and all parts of it embodied community. I would do this over and over again!
There were so much to eat and drink, for reallll! Got a free massage as well from @tifewellnessandspa . In all, it was an amazing experience!
Y'all, I was trying on the Adizero Evo SL when my phone went off lol, it wasn't even funny! But you see that shoe? It's a beast! I want it so bad!
Let’s do this again! 🥳

Slides 1 and 2 was me at @nocodesummit Tech Summit and Awards Night consecutively in December 2023.
Slides 3 and 4 is me being nominated in 2026. This feels like a full-circle moment for me, lol. Because I was so excited on that particular day.
What am I trying to say is, please vote for me guys! Link in my bio.
PS: mine is on the last section. Thank you! 💕
2016 was one of the toughest years of my life mahn!
I had just gained admission into FUNAAB in December of the previous year, and I was in College of Education, which means that year was when I was running 2 tertiary institutions together, and also doing my teaching practice (at FUNAAB Staff School) in partial fulfilment of my NCE. Mind you, these schools were not even close to each other, imagine Oyo town to Abeokuta every week.
For about a month into resumption, my HOC in uni didn't even know me because I was busy with my other school. I finally signed out of college in slide 10 after my exams and that same day, after those photos, I ran to Abeokuta because I had a practical or test the next or same day I think. Thank God for the journey so far really, thank God!
Lastly, 2015/2016 was Retrica year, if you know you know. I used bastard out of that app lol.
Don't laugh at me please😂😂
365/365! 🎉
What a year! 2025 didn't go as planned, in any way but gratitude is my watchword. It was my intention and desire to post more this year, to be on y’all’s faces like I've always been but life had a different plan for me and I am still very much grateful.
I'm especially grateful to the brands that worked with me this year despite my inconsistency. Thank you so much for believing in what I can do.
1. @drtealsofficialnigeria thank you! I've been using Dr Teal’s products since 2023 I believe, when they first sent me their products. And I've not looked back. How will I, when they're always spoiling me with products? My bathroom smells good every day 😅
2. @glovoapp_ng thank you! Especially with the Glovo Prime. Had a feeling of Amazon for a sec and saved me on months when I couldn't even step out to see the sun. Home grocery deliveries? Sign me up ASAP!
3. @shopwitteeka4 thank you for making me experience @timelesshaskin products! I'm in love! My skin loves the products too especially the 20% Vit C serum and the 100% Pure Hyaluronic acid.
4. @lg_nigeria thank you! You see this fridge? It's on my list of things to buy don't worry😅
5. @themainstack thank you. Love how you have created a space for every creator’s needs for their businesses. Well done!
I don't know if I'm looking forward to the new year, but it's the first time I didn't feel any urge to put pressure on myself about a new year but to see it as a continuation of what I'm already doing with my life and journey. Over the years I've realised that the whole “it's a new year I have to start again” narrative is a bait. I'm not falling for it anymore, at least not now. Especially because my health is more important to me at this moment.
I feel bad for disappearing on @refinedcircle.co but life didn't prepare me for everything that occurred after the launch.
Like I said, in all, I am grateful and we hope for what the new year brings! Happy New Year everyone! ❤️
Btw, my sister took these photos and online aunties said I must post them🤣🤣
I just knew I had to jump on this trend! You 20s are to explore, to dream, to build, to grow. Choose the life you want, not the life others expect, no matter who they are. The future version of you is counting on it! Rooting for you 🤎
