💌 BROADMEAD, I HAVE FALLEN FOR YOU! 💌 Yours lovingly, The PhotoBusker! X The past few months I’ve been working with @compasspresents on their project called A Love Letter to Broadmead. It included me taking over their ‘gram and creating the visual identity, marketing and design of materials alongside photographing and filming the event! It’s been a beautiful project watch evolve from day one and feels like a truly special and moment changing event to be involved in. The idea was to breathe life into the city centre. As the project progressed we soon realised giving young people opportunities and places to be was a key theme. The feedback since the event has been outstanding and seeing all the smiles from something Team Compass, alongside a load of other amazing organisations, create was magical! It’s been truly emotional to see how it has affected so many folk in a positive manner. Essentially we took over two units in The Galleries for a month, @ujimaradio_official were given a place to show face and YP curated another space to include workshops and events including likes with Diaspora Festival. It all accumulated with an after hours party in the Galleries shopping centre. It was fun to get my design brain in action again and ultimately capture the joy and community feel that envelopes the project! Much love GP! BRISTOL LIGHT FEST 💥 Another year down at the amazing @bristol_light_fest - I absolutely love this festival and have been going every year since its inception is 2020. I missed a couple of the installations this year but the ones I did see were mind blowing! See for yourself! A personal favourite of mine was “midnight Ballet” from @will.budgett.studio it was insanely good and took me back to my dancing days! Anyways @bristol_light_fest just keeps getting better year on year! I love the additional events added this year and got to groove to Bristol samba band last night! BRISTOL STORIES - MENA On a recent PhotoBusking adventure around St George park, I had the pleasure of meeting Mena! Honestly it was a true joy to meet and talk with them, to say they are a breath of fresh air (especially in modern times) would be an understatement! It was really nice to see someone oozing so much compassion and empathy, whilst seeing beauty in an animal often regarded as vermin! You are a wonderful person Mena and I thank you for also supplying, unbeknownst to you, a little pocket of joy in my day! Mines A Guinness! E&C hit legendary status when the decided to ditch their guests to get married alone (well with their mums) at Bristol Registry Office and then meet them in @seamusodonnells afterwards for countless Guinness! Side note I love how on the door of the pub it said “no large groups, no exceptions!” 80 odd wedding guests is fine though 😂 After a few bevvies we wandered to @squareclubweddings where then caught up with their friends and danced the night away! A beautiful marriage without all the standard wedding day conventions! They just brought folk together to eat, drink and have some fun!
