Honoured to be recognised alongside some fantastic female trailblazers in the wedding industry.🙏🥰🧿 Thank you @khushmag for featuring me in this, I I was watching the stories yesterday thinking “wow these women being highlighted are amazing!”, next thing you know I get a tagged in their stories as one of these inspirational women. 🤩 When I started makeup I actually rejected South Asian brides as I didn’t see how my natural airbrush style would fit in. However after a few pushes from eager brides who didn’t want the heavy makeup that was popular 15 years ago, I caved in. At that point I realised there was a gap in the market for South Asian women like me who didn’t want to be plastered in lighter foundation and wanted to enhance their natural features. I remember I received a lot of pushback and chit chatter behind the scenes because I was doing something new and different. But now here we are in 2025 where natural glam is in season for brides and I’m travelling around the UK and world for brides and high profile clients. So to any women doing something different in their industry, ignore what others say, if you have to make it alone with no support from anyone else in your industry until you make it.. then so be it!!! Be that woman that is different! Be that woman that stands out instead of fitting in!! Happy (belated) International Woman’s Day!

Natural makeup is all in the details. You can’t hide behind anything! If you’re doing a heavy false eyelash, honestly no one would even tell if you even applied mascara, so you can just quickly add on a heavy lash and that’s it job done. But with Natural Makeup, where the lashes will be quite minimal or even no false lashes at all, there is no room to hide any errors. Mascara needs to be applied and if the lashes aren’t combed through you can get clumps, it becomes very obvious because of the minimalism of everything and it really can ruin the look.
