Recycled Sounds on Tape

What happens if every sound we produce in a room becomes stationary and endless?
With this installation, we explore how the audience can shape the sound energy of a space by acting as both catalyst and source of an infinite reactionary loop, recorded on tape.
Played and recorded using recycled tape machines, and broadcast through a sound system composed entirely of repurposed machinery, courtesy of “Klankwerk”, this work became a challenging thought experiment. It asks what else might be considered recycled waste, ultimately arriving at the notion of recycled sonic waste and its consequences.

A grinding collision of breakbeats, noise, glitching rhythms, and raw synthesis.
Gaetha and Amir Torangan pushed sound to its edges — abrasive, dense, and relentlessly physical.

On November 29th we performed at Silent Green in Berlin during the Tehran Contemporary Sounds festival. Playing our set “Confrontation" alongside so many incredible artists felt unreal, and the energy in the room was something we won’t forget.

Last night at Vondelbunker (Radioaction III noise weekender) was a great experience. We performed our "Sestra Imōto" noise set and spent time with really nice people.

A live project by Abtin Sadati and Jim Dermois, focusing on the sound of magnetism, tension, and noise. Working with a minimal setup, letting magnetic fields, feedback, and raw physical vibration shape the performance in real time.

A meeting point of noise, rhythm, and raw impulse.
In Confrontation, Amir Torangan and Abtin Sadati (Gaetha) merge improvisation, live sound design, and real-time sampling into an ever-shifting electronic dialogue.
Nothing is rehearsed, nothing repeats — analogue textures collide with digital mutations, unfolding in unpredictable waves of tension and release.
A performance where the act of confrontation itself becomes form: volatile, immersive, and alive.
