One of the most special moments in our @feisrois show in Ullapool was dancing to this archive recording of Ceit NicDhòmhnaill, Bean Eàrdsaidh Raghnaill, with her daughter Rona Lightfoot (now aged 90) watching in the front row. It has been such a privilege to spend time talking to Rona during the making of the show and to have it culminate in this moment. ❤️

DEISEIL: Dancing in Time is well and truly on the road and we can't wait to bring the show to a venue near you✨️
We had a cracking first night to launch the tour at the @feisrois Fringe in Ullapool on Saturday.
Thanks for having us and thanks to everyone who came along - a big shout out to the dancers who joined us on stage! 🥰
From an idea hatched three years ago, it's incredibly exciting to bring the show to special places across Scotland.
Next stop is @edintradfest tomorrow 5 May. Fully booked but worth checking for late returns if you want to catch the show.

At Team Deiseil @deiseilairsondannsa we’ve been puzzling over this for a few months now and yesterday we finally cracked it with the help of some mop handles, climbing slings and a couple of willing volunteers to stand on the bases!

Our show, 'Deiseil: Dancing in Time' is a powerful exploration of how stepdance, Scotland’s percussive dance, was lost to us… and how its revival, drawn from Cape Breton Nova Scotia, became woven into a lifelong friendship.
Get a taste of the show in this short video, as, thanks to a @creativescots Scotland Touring Fund Award, we prepare to take the show the length and breadth of Scotland with a 30+ venue tour, from 2 May to 16 Nov.
