FABRICATION & INSTALLATION for @sambelinfante and part of the last Folkestone Triennial. On The Circulation Of Blood was an itinerant, multimedia installation and performance work in 2 different locations. Made of concrete blocks, poles, nets, lights and speakers. @sambelinfante composed a piece of music also played live with musicians and singers during a serie of performances on site. Nav and Charlotte are running an amazing independent award winning toy shop @moolikeamonkey in Folkestone and asked me to build a cupboard underneath their stares where they also have a kid den to hang. I asked them if they were interested if I could do something for the Den. After sending them few inspirations pics, they gave me "carte blanche" to deliver someting for it. It was a very long time I didn't draw something but I'm very proud of the result for what is probably the best shop on the Old Hight street we've got. Thanks for your patience and to trust me for it! Design & Screeprinting Been asked few weeks ago if I was up to design a tshirt for the launch of the new album of the amazing @moonhooligan Got the inspiration from an old book cover, brought back the good old Illustrator and I decided to screeprint them myself. As my first screenprinting attempt, I'm pretty happy about the result to be honest and managed to print 40 of them in one colour. It wasn't easy at first but with a bit of determination and help of mates, it happened! Special thanks to: @danbuckjoyce for the carrousel, screenprinting tips and gears. Fabrication/Installation "Migrate Journey" Polished steel sculpture for @shahed.saleem @rehanwjamil and @mcp_95 Another project complete this week that I'm very proud of. It's the third time now I have the chance to work with Shahed who asked me to fabricate this sculpture about the different communities who made their way to UK from abroad. From different cultures and backgrounds, their testimonies have been recorded and displayed through that installation and also films. It's at the @chisenhalegallery for the whole weekend with speakers and workshops and will be shown in different locations in the future. Fabrication/Installation CRIP ARTE SPAZIO DAM (The Disabilty Arts Movement) in Venice 2024. I've been approached last december by @davidhevey and @nina_shenpoblete along @shapearts to be part of their team for the exhibition they were organising and curating in Venice during the @venice.art.biennale They commissioned me some large modular wooden letters to sit at the entrance of the gallery and also a metal table display for one of the artist. Then, they asked me if I was interested to come with them in Venice to install my work and the rest of the exhibition. Despite the short window and the large amount of work we had to complete, I've rarely been surrounded with such amazing individuals to be honest. This exhibition is as special as the activists and artists who contributed to it. From the 70's to these days, using arts, protests and all the mediums available to fight not only for their rights but the rest of "minorities", which are actually the majority of the people on this planet. Pay a visit if you're in Venice for the biennale @creavenice . It will be there for the next 6 months. It includes paintings, sculptures, installations, performances, films and photography. 2 sink units made for @marleysfolkestone . When Marc and Charly moved in, there were 2 existing sink units in the toilets they wanted to remove. We had a very short window before their opening, so I suggested that instead of taking everything down and rebuilding, we could clad marine plywood on top of the solid recycled plastic units to save time, money and sweat.
