If you spot a charming shop in Charleston, stocked with vintage finds, sculptural candles from Moro Dabron, and linens from Frama, chances are itâs Helen Riceâs.
Since opening in 2022, her store, Ponytail, has become a local staple. But her work goes beyond sourcing beautiful things. The South Carolina native is also the co-founder of Fuzzco, an independent creative studio.
When it came time for a headquarters, Rice refurbished a building in Charleston in her signature style, filling the minimalist space with custom millwork. Since then, under Fuzzcoâs real-estate branch, Serious Buildings, sheâs overseen 10 other renovations across town and has plenty more projects on the horizon.
Rice shares her favorite spots in her hometown in Arts Intel Report. Discover the full guide and more in the link in bio.

Last week, we rallied a crew to see Help Scoutâs biggest out-of-home campaign yet: Delight Labs.
In the world of Delight Labs, our Joy Scientists have confirmedâthrough rigorous testingâthat when businesses treat customers like actual humans, extraordinary things happen.
Littered throughout the messaging, youâll see quirky testing apparatus and failed experiments, highlighting how difficult it is to engineer delight.
The good news isâwith Help Scout, you can amplify it.
Partnering with @fuzzco on the campaign was an absolute cheat code, and seeing the work live in a near-and-dear city like Boston was surreal to say the least.
Woodard Weave has been making classic, all-cotton American rugs since 1981. When one of its founders decided to retire, the company was acquired by @davidnettosays , and we were asked to help him and his team establish a new visual direction for the brand and build a more functional website.
We didnât want to lose any of the charm of the legacy brand, so we kept the essential elements that were working and focused on giving their team more to work with â a broader type palette, richer and more saturated colors, secondary marks, and a suite of patterns.
More to come, including some really nice new printed materials.

We partnered with @74_wythe to launch a new brand in the summer of 2021 with a visual identity system that extended from the physical space to the website, and stretched across the bright light of daytime rooftop parties to the moody dark nightclub below. Creating flexible and impactful moments across the space allow the venue to flip a space from a corporate event or wedding into a nightclub in a matter of hours.

Stytch is a B2B authentication and fraud prevention solution built by industry veterans who saw a better way to create third party tools that feel like they were built by internal engineering teams. After closing their Series B round and experiencing significant growth, Stytch wanted to reimagine their identity to project a strong, polished and sophisticated brand that developers trusted and loved.
We partnered with the team at Stytch to write a brand narrative, exploring the real pain points developers and internal teams face as the pressures to secure products become increasingly complex and advanced. We positioned Stytch as the solution that is so seamless it feels like it was built bespoke by an internal team, without committing the internal resources.
We designed a visual identity that celebrated engineering culture without falling into expected visual tropes and design trends. The new identity included an illustration style capable of communicating abstract ideas simply.
We translated the new visual identity into a web design system that could support both brand storytelling and product marketing content, showcasing a distinct point of view without being complex or complicated.
