The exhibition introduces Fleishman’s structural research to a new generation of collectors and architects while highlighting the continued evolution of a practice developed through more than four decades of experimentation with geometry and inhabitable form.
Presented during Los Angeles Climate Week, the exhibition also highlights the environmental relevance of his modular building systems.
ANTIDOTE presents Fleishman’s work within a dialogue spanning architecture, mathematics, sculpture, and furniture design. The exhibition explores how his geometric systems move across scales—from functional furniture to inhabitable structures—revealing new relationships between form, space, and human experience. By activating the gallery as an immersive environment, the installation demonstrates how geometric thinking can translate from object to architecture.
“I see ANTIDOTE as a spark—a glimpse into what geometry makes possible,” says Gregg Fleishman. “The chairs are really studies in invention that led to the larger structural work, which took many years to realize. There’s something inherently mysterious about polyhedral geometry, whether through sacred proportion or simply the complexity of understanding space in three dimensions. For me, the goal has always been to create work that is both playful and functional—structures that grow out of a long evolution of methods and that have the potential to change how we experience space and how we live.”
As part of
@LAclimateweek , Fleishman’s installation at
@SkyPortalX will be included in the city’s cultural programming exploring sustainable design and adaptive architecture.
