Patterns in Nature, the largest solo exhibition of our career, has just opened in St. Louis. Over 50 artworks are displayed at 21 locations within the prestigious @mobotgarden . We created new 6 site specific installations to fill the garden, which expects over 500,000 visitors over the next 6 months.
We want to thank the entire staff, the events and horticulture teams, and the donors who made this possible. We spent 2 weeks with our incredible team installing the show and could not be happier with the result. New works explore color and material on a scale we have never explored before.
We hope you can visit - the exhibition is open daily, 3 evenings a week for night viewing, and runs through September.

Congruence is a site specific commission at @crystalbridgesmuseum in Bentonville Arkansas. At 20ft in height the work consists of 12 truncated octahedrons that interpret the 3D packing of flourite crystal formations and is arranged on the new proscenium overlooking the grounds. It resides alongside the work of many of our heroes and is a stones throw away from Buckminister Fullers Fly’s Eye Dome. Special thanks to curator @alejobenny for supporting this vision. It was truly an honor.
We are relieved to share that it survived the recent tornado unharmed. Our thoughts are with the community and museum and they recover and rebuild.

Congruence can be viewed 24/7 and is free to the public. It is located on the 2nd level of the new parking structure adjacent to the amazeum as you enter the grounds.
Introducing Aurum at Mint Plaza in San Francisco. Located on 5th between Market and Mission, this public artwork represents the origins of gold through its arrival on earth via an exploding star. It stands adjacent to the historic mint building which stored much of gold from the gold rush era.
Taking the form of a stellated dodecahedron, 120 stainless steel panels come together to form the 12 ft 2,000 lb structure. Internal LED lighting turns on at dusk.
The artwork was commissioned by the SF Arts commission with support from Martin Building and Friends of Mint Plaza. Originally developed in 2018
we are honored to install this in our former hometown and the city where our practice was established. We have fond memories of this area and hope this effort can help revitalize the community it serves.
Harmony in Light is an expansive and immersive plaza sized permanent installation inspired by a musical waveform and Prairie School architecture. A love letter to America. Thank you to Group Creative and Mason City for believing in this vision. Should we create more large scale immersive installations?
One year ago we exhibited our largest show ever… Light Bloom at Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix… we loved being in amongst their amazing and inspiring cacti, succulent, and native plant collection… an experience that will inspire us for years to come! Did you see the show?
Nexus is a new installation in the desert of Sharjah. It was created for @tanweerfestival with the support of @bodouralqasimi and her incredible team. It was honor to return to the UAE after so many years, to a region where our work truly feels at home.
Nexus was created specifically for the site, which is located in Mleiha, a nominated unesco heritage site and archeological treasure of early civilization. It is always special exhibiting in the desert, where the artwork, land, and sky become one. We very proud to share this new work and see where it takes us.
We have been creating art for Burning Man since 2014. The desert is where we started our practice. Here is a summary of our major projects over the years, in chronologic order.
We will not be on playa this year as we are working on something very special - last slide for a preview.

Our newest work is an experiment in color and motion. What should we name the piece?
We tend to let our feelings and instinct inform the title after it has been experienced. This piece is on display at The Paine art Center as part of our return to the garden for the Nature of light exhibition which opens next week and runs through October.

Earlier this year @sensoriopaso opened our largest installation to date in Paso Robles. DIMENSIONS is comprised of 44 artworks deep in the rolling hills of California. An otherworldly and transcendent experience with an original score by our dear friend @allenhulsey , we teamed up with @lightswitchdesign to program the lighting and create a multi-sensory environment. Halfway between SF and LA, it’s a pilgrimage that is unanimously worth the drive. Have you been yet?
We are honored to present “Harmony in Light” to the town of Mason City Iowa. Located at the gateway to the new Riverwalk recreation area, it takes inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Mason City is home to significant examples of Prairie School Architecture, including the historic Park Inn by Frank Lloyd Wright, and is the birthplace of “The Music Man” by the famed composer Meredith Wilson.
20 stainless steel cylinders, representing 2 instrumental sound waves, create an immersive environment with patterns and details unique to the heritage of Mason City.
Excited to share our new drone shots from @dbgphx - it’s the last month to visit Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. #lightbloom ends March 30th - have you visited yet?
