Celebrating one year of The Mystic Moon 🌙
This time last year I was on a spontaneous trip to Joshua Tree National Park with @sixohflow , and while stargazing from a secluded desert hot spring I was overcome by an intense vision. In it I saw The Soul Star, my first full-scale aerial installation built in 2024, spinning beside a glowing, pulsating 3D moon.
When I opened my eyes I knew exactly what was next for me on my creative path, and that moment marked the beginning of my second collaboration with @undergroundcircus & @nlitentech .
When I first created the Mystic Moon for @elektriccollective I never imagined myself performing on it. It was originally designed as a platform for other established artists like @controlobsolete and @_aerialballerina , shown performing at @shambhala_mf , @wickedwoodsmusicfestival & more.
Looking back I can recognize how my own insecurities along with some significant life transitions, were quietly holding me back from stepping into that role myself. Making the decision to move through those limitations and commit to creating a piece of my own has been deeply transformative. Debuting it at Envision Festival last month was a meaningful milestone, both creatively and personally.
Much love to all of the talented and passionate creatives who have contributed to this project. For me, work like this has always been less about the final outcome and more about the growth that happens along the way, and the people you get to share that journey with.
