Back on the grid and back with colour after a weekend’s site visit in Bradford to see progress on a new art installation ‘BD Colours’ created in collaboration with @bigg_design for Bradford Interchange - we are so excited to see this project come together, it’s half way there and already transforming the external spaces with a wash of dynamic colour. Inspired by the vibrant colours of Bradford District, this abstract artwork celebrates the city and its surrounding landscapes, towns, and villages. From heather-clad moors and stone-cobbled streets to the radiant glow of city lights; from stunning architecture and a thriving cultural scene to bustling markets and aromatic kitchens; from tranquil parks, woodlands, and canal-side walks to lively festivals, sports, and rich heritage - each hue reflects the unique elements of the region, weaving them together to capture the diversity and beauty of Bradford District in every shade. This weekend saw the opening event of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture and it was great to be in the city to feel the buzz and excitement for the year ahead and to see the artwork as a welcoming and colourful backdrop to those travelling in and out of the city. We can’t wait to get back to photograph the internal spaces in the coming weeks and share the full details of our latest collaboration! Huge thanks to the amazing teams @butterfield_signs and @balfourbeatty who have been working tirelessly through all weathers to get elements installed and ready for this weekend! With thanks to @feredaypollardarchitects @bradfordmdc @westyorkshire_ca for this exciting opportunity! ~~ #bdcolours #bradford2025 #colourfulcities #cityofculture #publicart #publicartbradford #cityofculture2025 #bradford #bradfordinterchange #bradforddistrict

I’m super excited to share photos of our first bespoke quilt for @shop_ormus Summer Showcase. Called ‘Holiday mode’ this supersize quilt features bold shapes reminiscent of rooflines and terraces of some sun drenched foreign land. Popping colours in fizzy shades of green and yellow contrast with cobalt blues and hot reds. This one of a kind quilt is made from a patchwork of linen, cotton, wool felt and chunky wool tweed - luxurious to wrap around yourself or drape over a bed. We’re so excited to be part of the upcoming show focusing on a Summer of colour! Private view 10th of May 5pm-8pm Open thereafter check @shop_ormus ~~ #summerofcolour #quiltsofinstagram #bespoketextiles #textiledesign #quilt #textilestudio #fortheloveofcolour #geometricpattern #funmakesgood

Part 2. I took a little creative break back in November, decided to not worry about the looming festive period deadlines and went to three countries in 10 days to soak up architecture, design, food and visit friends. Colour, texture, design & light in Amsterdam. Highlights include visiting @droogamsterdam and the Amsterdam light festival and the immersive installations at Moco Museum

I took a little creative break back in November, decided to not worry about the looming festive period deadlines and went to three countries in 10 days to soak up architecture, design, food and visit friends. Condensing this into 20 slides is almost impossible but here are a few from Prague & Nuremberg including: Poster from the Czech Cubism exhibition at the House of the Black Madonna - a Cubist building and former department store completed in 1912 which now houses examples of the Cubist style that extends across fine art, furniture and interior design, applied art and architecture. The cafe downstairs also did amazing breakfast. Incredible glass panels at the Museum of Decorative Arts Prague The dreamy Art Deco interior at the Cafe Imperial where every surface is covered in white and honey coloured tiles. Seemed rude not to order some honey cake to match. From one hotel to another with the now very timely installation - Grand Hotel Parr at the Neues Museum Nuremberg - where you can take a tour through various staged rooms of the hotel and explore over 200 of the artists photo books Installations and collections from Double Up! at the Neues Museum Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt & pals
