#GouNews: NETHERLANDS-BASED ARTIST D STONE SET FOR EGYPT DEBUT AT FUNKSIDE X CJC MARCH 27TH. Funkside joins forces with Cairo Jazz Club for a special club night on March 27th, headlined by Netherlands-based DJ and producer D Stone, who will be making his long-awaited Egypt debut. Known for blending live instrumentation with groove-driven house productions. Drawing inspiration from disco, garage, funk, and 90s tech house, his sound balances soulful samples with deeper percussive elements. With releases on labels such as Semi Delicious, Cécille, Heist, Crystal Grooves, and Chloé Caillet’s Smiile imprint, alongside his own Stone Series, D Stone has steadily built a reputation for crafting timeless, groove-led tracks that translate effortlessly onto the dancefloor. His Cairo debut marks a notable moment for local selectors and house music heads eager to experience his signature style live for the first time. Setting the tone for the night are Cairo-based DJs Hashad and Foutchy, who will go back-to-back for the opening set. Joining them is Egyptian DJ/producer Toola, currently based in Los Angeles, whose return behind the decks in Cairo promises a cross-continental touch to the line-up. Closing duties fall to Funkside’s founder F-Spins, who will take the crowd through the final stretch of the night with one of his signature late-hour sessions. The collaboration marks Funkside’s first event at Cairo Jazz Club, bringing together international talent and local selectors under one roof for an extended night in the capital.
