Over 45 Rare Classic Cars Took to the Streets of Heliopolis for the “Heritage of Masr El Gedida” Drive
Heliopolis turned into a moving museum of automotive history, as a classic car showcase brought together more than 45 rare vehicles, some of the rarest models in the world, for the “Heritage of Masr El Gedida” initiative.
The lineup spanned decades of design, including historic cars dating back to the 1930s, each preserved and restored down to the detail. As part of the initiative, the cars took to the streets of Heliopolis, turning the district’s historic roads into a live parade of chrome, craftsmanship, and design from another era.
An event the city looks forward to year after year, the showcase doubled as a reminder of why classic cars hold their place as a real piece of history, vehicles that, unlike most, never lose their value.

Heliopolis turned into an open air showcase of automotive history today, as a gathering of classic and vintage cars brought collectors, owners, and enthusiasts together across the district.
The lineup spanned decades of design, from preserved European classics to vintage American models, each carrying its own history and detail. Owners walked visitors through the stories behind their cars, while passersby stopped to photograph a rare on street display of chrome, craftsmanship, and restoration work that rarely gets seen in one place.
Heliopolis, with its own layered history and architecture, made a fitting backdrop, a district built in another era hosting the machines that defined it.

EXIT, the iconic Serbian festival, has unveiled the name and dates of its long anticipated Egypt edition. Presented in partnership with PLUS, the new festival is called STARLIGHT, and it lands at the Great Pyramids of Giza from October 8 to 11, marking one of the headline stops on EXIT’s 2026 Global Tour.
The festival is being produced in collaboration with Venture Lifestyle’s electronic platform PLUS, the team behind some of Egypt’s most defining international shows, including Solomun, Peggy Gou, Carl Cox, and Anyma at the Pyramids. STARLIGHT is being positioned as a four day takeover of one of the oldest landmarks on earth, built around the future of electronic music staged against the backdrop of the ancient desert sky.
The Egypt stop is one of the most anticipated chapters of EXIT’s global expansion, following the festival’s move beyond its longtime home at Petrovaradin Fortress in Serbia. The 2026 tour spans Croatia, Macedonia, Malta, Egypt, India, and a return leg to Serbia, with the Pyramids edition serving as its standout cultural moment.
